Hi there, i was away for 2 months from ddo, originally i left cause monsters on legendary hard ravenloft had too many hitpoints... i just played other epics, had fun, tr my sorceror and played an artificier build 15 artif, 5 rogue, great xbow + fusillade.
i tried ravenloft again, but on heroic elite... and i admit at least on heroic the legendary quest are somehow playable... same with creeping death, and to bring down the sky... they become slow slog through hugeton of hitpoints of enemies, but at least on heroic the problem isnt as severe as in legendary.
i tried all the quests except the raid, i was happy about the ability to unlock vistani tree through favor without having to do the raid... the unlock is much easier than what is asked for artificer...
the quest quality... i didnt like much, i also didn't find any new mechanic, even if some people say they exist.
the best expansion pack by far is the first one, i totally love all quests of the first expansion. also the mechanics are clear:
1) slaver hides, if you kill him first you can avoid to fight his minions
2) necromancer has to die first also, if you do not do that... any slayed enemy or ally return back to life as undead
3) the lolth female priest is able to sacrifice 1 ally to gain back life, and gain a temporary powerup buff, is generally best to slay her for last
i mean i loved those mechanics.
also as a notable mention i like into the belly of the beast: is unique, also do not poison the well i consider unique, also rusted blade, broken chain, and death undone,
while trial by fury, and the second one i consider them not special at all, kinda fine... reclaiming the rift is unique as quest and i like it
the 2 level 19 quests are generic, but are also kinda fine and better than trial by fury and the second one of chain3

shadowfell quality of the quest took a deep... in wheelon almost all quest are kinda fine, the only good one is the last one of the chain, where u switch from the plane of light to plane of shadow and so on
about storm horns... i liked the caravan quest, as is a tower defence like, and is unique... i also likes what goes up... 1 part of the quest is a bit boring, the middle one, where you are underground and need to find a crest and an npc... while the part i like the most is outside, i also like the music, is my favorite and listen to it while i do jogging... victory without a chance is called... totally liked it, and that part of the quest.

ravenloft quests are even worse, of course that is just my opinion, the quality feels worse, although it is a nice touch the teleport to quest, and the fact you gain a weapon of your choice as soon as you finish quest 1...
while getting a nice weapon wasnt absolutely necessary to me, it really makes new players able to contribute to quest alongside veterans, i was happy someone who is a new player, bought the expansion, and after 1 qust was able to gear himself and to contribute to the quest.

if you red the wall of the or not here is my request:
give a ml20 choice of weapons from both side, the barovian ones (light) and the (night/dark) ones... a ml20...
i am thinking: i want to use sentient from ml20, but what choices do i have as a great xbow user, with some difficulty people with common weapon type can gain a decent ml20 weapon... but if someone uses a rare weapon type what choices do he has ?
adding a ml20 option among the level of weapons you can obtain would be a really cool thing to do... after all everything we have left so far is some crappy and really hard to obtain scroll seal shard epic weapons, and some random junk eveningstar challenge loot...
having a possibility to get barovian/night version ravenloft weapons would be really cool.
