Discovered new level of hideousness...

So I try on ALL the armors I get just to see if anything new and Mirror-worthy shows up and tonight I discovered a new level of hideousness unbeknownst to me.

What is egregiously awful about this particular specimen is the upper accessory layer is actually three colors - puke yellow, split-pea vomit green, and a shade of orange which reminds me of baby diapers - all of which clash with the pleasant, violet base armor.

Nevermind the additional negativity of the "I got dressed in the dark" mix and match pieces syndrome. Maybe "I got dressed in the dark" also accounts for the terrible colors?

Stylistically speaking this looks good on a half-orc so long as the colors match... not these nauseating, eye-gouging clashing shades of ugly.

She's a half-orc warchanter... not hooker and if you call her that to her face she's going to lop you upside the head with her Mizzen Mast.

Not to necro this but... I glamered this particular outfit and have been using it on my main for months now. Didn't even know such a thread existed! I actually really like this outfit and was happy to have found a unique look no one else was using. I guess now I know why no one else was wearing it? :D

What is that?Given the Necrotic nature of the thread - MichaelKindrhead might never answer to clear it up fo'-sho'... but it looks like it might be some Elven Chainmail. I have a few sets, back when that was a thing that would drop, that are ugly as sin, just complete nonsensical mishmashes of armor styles and colors. I think one of them looks similar to the posted picture, but I also haven't dug them out of my mule's bank in a minor forever.
Some older styles of Brigandine were pretty outlandish and gaudy, too - could be one of thems.

As an aside, one of the biggest appeals of this outfit is that nobody else is using it, let alone even owning the cosmetic. Uniqueness is something I strive for when outfitting my characters, so if others on Thelanis are going to start using it, I may have to reconsider Fury's look (not that I expect others to use it). :P

It is interesting to see how different your look is from mine, though. It's a difficult armour to match to given the options available in game - originally I used the Verdant Crown of Wave instead of the Muffled Veneer, but despite the slight colour mismatch, I think this way actually looks quite good. :)

It has only been a year any way and I just got around to finding some things that matched. I was going to post a screenshot to share if Fury hadn't had necroed it first. Fell asleep early and Aelonwy already posted one for me so no need now.

Don't worry about me wearing it Fury. I only did it to show Aelowny and take a screenshot. It is going back to my cosmetic mule.

It's a hideous look, that is just right for one of my mules. :D

I keep thinking I should glam this armor. Then I remember that I don't hate myself that much to look at it that often.
Maybe I will pursue the Rainbow Brite look for my Alchemist when they hit the game, though. Seems like it may be apropos.

No, no, no, not the remnant cloak! The mimic cloak is what matches perfectly in color and style with the Halibment and other related armor models!
