I have been testing out classes and servers this week. Today I started a cleric on a server I had not been on yet. I was reading about Favor on the Wiki so decided to do some quests on elite to gather favor. I did both Heydon's Rest and The Cannith Crystal which the Wiki said should be 12 favor total but when looking at Total Favor in my adventure compendium I am only showing 6.

Can anyone explain how this works please?

Sometimes you have to relog to see the accurate favor amount.

Thank you. That seemed to do the trick. I am showing the correct favor now.

More specifically, the last quest you run won't show your favor. When you complete a quest, the previous quest you ran gets updated. The only way to get the last quest favor to update is to relog.

Just as a side note concerning Favor = Store points.

I posted this over on the Steam DDO forums, when someone asked about the F2p aspect of the game:

'I decided to do all the other servers with test characters and check on store point gathering. All I'm doing is the 4 quests inside Kothos Village and doing each on normal, hard and elite.
I completed the 4 quests on the other 7 servers (my main's on Khyber) now and have raised my store points from 120 at the start to 590 by the end.

While doing the characters on each server does gain you store points it's very mindhumbing. Yes it works, but I'm not enjoying it.'

Those 4 quests gave a total of 30 Favor.

You don't have to log out/in to see your new total favor. Entering a quest or explorer zone will do the trick.
Talking to a patron when You hit the favor tier will also help.

Do you get favor for each difficulty of a quest or only for the highest level difficulty?

Highest counts.

You only get favor for the highest difficulty you have run - they don't stack. Running normal and hard is a waste of time in this scenario.

you get favor for each difficulty but they are not cumulative—only the highest (elite+) counts and replaces the lower. For this reason, the goal of getting favor is always running elite. But for F2P accounts, you do not have that option unless a) the toon has TR’d twice or 2) someone else opens for you

Except that F2p can't open elite, unless they've beat the normal and then hard settings. Also each run gains you XP, each setting being more than the last lower setting.

DDO has an untapped resource which states that the first character created on any server and runt to 100 favor receivers a 25 DDO point bonus so you get 125 ddo points for each character x 8 servers = 1000 bonus points. Yes this is a pain grind especially if you are f2p. Asking a high level to run it for you, a favor run helps. The best way is to have 3 high levels, and each toon runs a separate quest but does not finish until you enter the quest. You usually get no treasure and no xp but you get the favor. There are some people including myself who do not mind helping out.

Thank you. I am using my cleric to collect favor to try and open up the Drow. I have been testing classes on new servers to get store points. Its a little boring lol but has helped me find the classes I like best. I am VIP and normally do Elite unless its a quest that is giving me trouble and I drop it down to hard. I do keep track so I can go back and try them in Elite again if need be. I have a tendency to want to complete everything so I found a quest list to keep track lol.

Then you'll be happy to learn that the game keeps track for you. Open up the Adventure Compendium ('p'), and click the progress bar to sort by difficulty level, and you can scroll down past your Elite completions and run the quests you completed on Hard again on Elite.

Do you still earn full favor from quests you have out leveled? Still working on unlocking Drow , halfway there!, but starting to out level some quests I have not gotten to yet.

Yes, favor received for doing a quest is completely irrelevant to what level you are. So for easy favor you can even roll an Iconic (starts at level 15 with functional but mediocre gear) and do lower-level content.

Favor ignores the heroic/epic distinction, too, so if you want maximum favor for (say) Phiarlan Carnival, you can do the heroic version on elite and it's just as good as doing the epic version on elite.

Well, they CAN, but they have to TR twice first.
