Racial types and Construct Essence

Hey all. QUick question for anyone who knows, Does taking the improved construct essence, or previously, the construct Exemplar, actually change a person's racial enhancement tree? I wish to know before i possibly ruin a character i'm playing.

That feat does not alter your racial enhancement tree, no. It simply goves you all the properties of being a living construct (Repair healing, Immune to Energy Drain, Water Breathing, etc.).
