DDO: Starter Pack

As a VIP can I buy the DDO: Starter Pack from the store? Only really want the lvl3 Lever Puller/Door Opener.

No idea if it will allow me to apply the code to my account.

I think I was able to buy it as a VIP. I've been a VIP more then not, but I have had a few periods where I went Premium - so I'm only 99% sure and not 100%.

I was able to get it as a VIP. This was quite some time ago however.

It's sold on the marketplace and is a code similar to expansions, thus should not be an issue. Though I can't say from personal experience.

AFAIK, VIPs can apply anything from the DDO Market to their accounts, though obviously some things are redundant / useless unless you cancel your subscription. E.g., you don't need to buy adventure packs as a VIP, though if you cancel your sub after buying the Starter Pack, you would still have access to the Catacombs. You can only apply each Market pack once per account, though; e.g., you couldn't apply the Starter Pack multiple times to get extra TPs or XP potions. Which is unfortunate, since sometimes Market sales mean the bonus TPs from Market packs is actually cheaper than buying those TPs separately...which is probably why SSG only allows you to use them once. :rolleyes:

EDIT: I don't remember what happens if you buy different versions of an expansion and try to apply them to your account.

VIP's can buy anything that the "Market" sells for real cash, and those items will be applied fully to their accounts.

They do stack. Confirmed this when MotU & SC expansions were on deep discount a while back - got both Tomes, and both sets of DDO pts, etc.

You cannot buy the same expansion more than once - pro'ly a failsafe as much as anti-exploit.
