From the video I've seen (linked below), and the wiki description (http://ddowiki.com/page/Feral_Charge), Feral Charge from the Cleric's Animal Domain (http://ddowiki.com/page/Domain#Animal) seems pretty nice. What I'm wondering is if Improved Trip (http://ddowiki.com/page/Improved_Trip) will add +4 to the DC, and what your experiences are using the ability. Improved Trip specifies that it has a higher DC (by +4) but not if it gives you a +4 trip bonus which would apply to other Trip attacks.
I'm theorycrafting something like Cleric 14/Fighter 6, PDK Silvanus for more melee fun and to take advantage of my stack of mauls. With two feats left over, I could take Toughness and Epic Toughness for 81 hp at level 30, or Combat Expertise and Improved Trip for -possibly- an extra +4 to my FC's DC.
