I have one more run to 30 in Arcane before I reset and work my way to 20 to finish my last epic lives in martial for epic completionist. Looking for fun/interesting build ideas with an emphasis on speed/QOL over survival. I will finally be heroic completionist after my next hTR with one life in each class, my preference would be to stack caster lives (Sorc/Wiz/FvS or maybe even Cleric) but I would not mind more Ranger or Pally lives either. Admittedly I did use my free +20 lesser heart to convert a Warlock into a Rogue for that class so I have technically never had the "rogue experience" despite having completed the past life.
I typically run my epic content at normal so mainly just interested in efficiency.

I suggest a rogue/monk/fighter build. Lots of fun. I am doing 16 rogue/3 monk/1 fighter but could have easily done 6 monk levels. In heroics you just use vorpal wraps/stunning fist until level 15, then switch to centered with daggers. (Use the Ravenloft wraps on undead and other stuff or craft beaters). In wind stance GMoF you have an almost identical assassinate as a pure rogue; it is not until epics that you fall way behind.
In epics you can then go vistani if you like its tier 5 playstyle (I hate tier 5 vistani). I am level 14 with the 3 monk split and have had a roaring time--super fast sneaking (stacking assassin and monk plus monk movement speed, nice ranged option (stars with ANT) and I got lucky with some vorpal wraps of deception. I use short swords sometimes too, especially for assassinate--and have been able to do Reaper 3-4 stars well in groups or whip through 1-2 stars alone.
Practical stuff: you want rogue levels for traps and their xp boost, fast run speed to get to quests and through them. Sneaking lets you move past a lot of stuff if not on reaper and if you know how to do it.
If you want to man up you can try ROGUE Quatre

Self healing from the monk levels or just scroll/wand whipping?

Fast in epic normal?
Barbarian would be the way I'd go.
Rage, run, cleave, cleave, cleave from 20-30 and reset.

I would not be opposed to that either, I did enjoy the barb life and was surprised at how self sustaining it was

Anything works in epic normal. Just have your cat walk across your keyboard when you make your character.

Anything works in epic normal.
This. Someone actually did some testing a while back comparing completion times for various builds. #1 thing that affected completion times in epic normal for the builds tested = run speed.
So build for aoe damage and run speed, I'd like to throw in pick locks and ddoor.
Bard with splashes of barb and rog for sprint and doors. For a more serious build I'd do 6 fighter splash instead of a light barb splash, but the barb will get faster normal completions.
Other speedy path would be monk with ranger splash for sprint, probably a staff build for cleaving. You get monk speed and the sprint boost from ranger, plus abundant step so ahead of the bard build for raw speed but no ddoor, you could still splash for openlocks and makes sense for rog staff speed. And if you really want to get tricky this sets you up for the 3 class faster sneaking.
You're not looking for anything optimal, just fast.

fists of light, light finishers; if you want, take wand & scroll mastery. But on EN you will not get hurt much. You can even take tier 5 henshin and the heal there if fists of darkness

To add to this - whatever build you're running doesn't even need to use the epic destiny at all. I just finished epic completionist on borelock with 3 primal lives. The first 6 million in whatever destiny mostly dailies - then farm gear / run end game for the last part in whatever, divine.

Martial life? Can't go wrong with a pure 20 fighter vanguard in legendary dreadnought. Good offense, a movement speed boost, tons of aoe damage, and if you're running epic normal you'll hardly take any damage whatsoever.

my preference would be to stack caster lives (Sorc/Wiz/FvS or maybe even Cleric) but I would not mind more Ranger or Pally
Wizard: Shadowdancer - 6 int, evasion with insightful reflexes
Cleric: Grandmaster of flowers. 6 wisdom, nice defenses, splash 2 monk for fun
Paladin 15/Ranger 5 or Ranger 20: Legendary Dreadnought
I would save the sorc and fvs lifes for more divine.
