About you: Sons of Denzar is derived from an old 2.0 PnP DnD campaign. All the members are experienced role players either in PnP or other MMOs. All the members are experienced MMO players on a wide variety of games. I personally, have played DAoC, COH (we were all on the Virtue unofficial roleplaying server), and WoW. Plus some smaller non-mainstream MMOs like Tale in the Desert.

SoD will be moderate RP as we know the limitations and stress that RP-ing can put on someone. Therefore, we will notpunish non-RP-ing behavior (as long as it doesn't get out of hand). Likewise, we don't like RP-ing to get out of hand. If you have a problem with someone in the guild leave it out of the guild unless it is agreed beforehand to be a RP event, of course.

One thing is that we love joking around. If you cannot take a joke, or are easily offended then this guild is not for you. If you have a problem with something that is said, I always advocate talking it out. If you are high-strung or easily angered, again this guild is not for you.

Most of us are DnD PnP players, so be prepared for at length discussions about inane DnD rules and things like it ;) .

Dungeon crawling is good. So is hanging out in the tavern, going for a swim in the harbor, or strolling through the Marketplace to window-shop. Whatever suits your fancy! We wish to provide a fun, easygoing environment for players in DDO as well as creating a community of friends willing to help each other out - and willing to help out non-guild members as well. For those who like to RP, that will certainly be an option, and we'll try to stay in-character with you :) For those who prefer more OOC adventuring, that will also be available.

Currently we're quite tiny, and not planning on ever being very large. Typically our current officers (myself included) can be found in the evenings and late nights (CST) on weekdays and potentially any time on weekends, so we'd hope that this would be in league with your own times. We do not advocate rushing, either through dungeons or through the game in general, and in fact actively discourage both. This might mean delaying that level up for a quest or two, or holding back on a particular character to stay in-line with other guildmates; of course, pick-up groups to fill open slots are welcome as well.

We are not recruiting everyone who wants to join. I don't usually send invites out unless I am impressed with the abilities of the player. If you like to rush through a dungeon and race to the end like this is Track & Field online then my Guild isn't the one to join. If you have done a Dungeon 18 times and want to make sure everyone knows it by making annoying comments like, "Hey guys, we don't need to go in there." or "Hey guys, Turn left up here." or "We don't need to fight those monsters, there's no chest." or you like to run off somewhere in the Dungeon where you think everyone should be and stand there and say, "Hey... Why don't you guys come over here where you're supposed to be." then this IS NOT the guild for you. Lastly if you are a Hand-Me-Down Hero that has a bunch of Fantastic Items but still manage to get everyone killed by being a horrible player, we don't want you.

However, If you are team oriented and think to yourself, "How can I benefit this team and make it work better." instead of ,"How fast can I get this treasure before someone else does it. I need that xp bonus!!" then you will most definately like this guild. If you are tired of the Kiddies and crotchety old men running ahead of everyone and/or trying to play Mr. Know-it-all then you will love this guild. If you like team play, sharing of items that you can use, and overall Pen and Paper feel to doing dungeons - even after you have done them 26 and a half times - give us a look up. We want players who like to stick to the group and to the gameplan. WE don't want players to tell people where to go but to go where the people are.

We strive to do dungeons on HARD or ELITE since anyone can run through these dungeons on NORMAL. We have players so far of all level ranges and classes and I am hand-picking members every day who I wish to have in my guild. We have people who play a lot and people that play a little. I'm very busy so I play when I can, while others are on quite a bit and some still aren't on very much at all.

You can contact myself or any of my officers when we are online to request a tryout. Tryouts are simple. You group with us for a couple/few quests and we see if you work well as a team member.

Please don't confuse us - We are not an RP guild though if players wish to PR thats fine. I DMd since the 80s and to my friends and I sitting around a table playing D&D was very much Out Of Character. To live through your character a little was fun, but it was still a game after all and if/when a few shots or beers got involved it could be a blast. :p

I will say one last thing. I don't require everyone to have a mic at this point, yet I do encourage it. For combat purposes it is 10 times easier to say things like, "Hey I need help!" or "I need a heal!" then it is to try and type it before you are dead. :confused:

About Me: I started Warpath to ease the amount of blind guild invites I was getting as a new player. Now that I've been playing Stormreach for a little while and have a feel for the game, I'd like to expand Warpath into an active guild.

I'm a casual player, but I do play smart when on a quest. I manage my time well and would like to play with others that feel the same way. It's a drag when someone leaves a quest, 5 minutes in, saying "Uh, I have to go to work now." If you know you have to leave the game at a certain time, why start a quest you know you can't complete and slow the rest of the party down? Of course, real-world issues do come up, but try and manage your time a bit better.

Recruitment is open to all levels. If you're a new player looking to grow and learn or a vetern player looking for something new or to teach, this maybe for you. I would like to guild with people that like to explore dungeons and not just run through them every single time. Loot runs are cool, but there's so much to miss.

About the Vicarians

As the name implies, we take our characters (not “toons”) seriously.

Even if we have done a quest numerous times, we like it to feel fresh through our characters eyes. We do not like to tell others what happens next (like a mouthy moviegoer in the next seat) unless it fit’s the scenario -- a reminder to “check for traps” or otherwise to “be careful,” notwithstanding.

We take care of each other, don’t like to leave anyone behind (even including hirelings) and do not like to die! Where feasible, we want to take the time to go back into danger and bring our friend out, rather than leave him in harm and pain, or at the costly mercy of the tavern rez.

We want to enjoy the scenarios, take time to observe and appreciate, to communicate, to plan and execute appropriate tactics, and… not… to… rush. Haste (not the spell) is often our worst enemy. This is not for zergers or Marios. Do you like to rush? You will not like us, especially, me. ;-) Oh, and have I said we play deliberately?

While we’re not totally static, we try to take quests on in good order and are biased toward reserving some quests and series’ for scheduled play, together.

When we’re in a quest, we actually read and ponder the NPC conversation. We look around. We often sneak or sometimes just walk (I can show you how to do that with your keys) and we like “being there.” All this fake stuff is for us to appreciate, as realistically as we would choose. But as for rushing….

We are newbie and lowbie friendly. Patience and meekness are virtues. ;-) Our goals do not include pushing and…. rushing… to level and level as fast as possible, just to get to highest imagined power, kill an ancient power or three, and maybe manufacture magic items, or just go on to the next “video game.”

We would behave honorably, in game and with each other.

We tend to favor each other in trading, at least when involved in the scenarios we share.

While we may take this seriously in some ways, we may be casual players in another. We may not play every day. We appreciate real life and hope you do to.

We're a long standing multi-gaming community with branches and/or members in a dozen or so different MMO's and games. We have a history in various incarnations and a number of our members have been doing the MMO thing since EQ1. It's not unusual to find both an end-game raid group running at the same time as a mid-level 6-man group getting dirty in gianthold. We are populated by both F2P and VIP members, and welcome all commitment levels. Most of us value our RL and families just as much as our time spent gaming, so even those of you who might only get one or two nights a week are just as welcome as those of you who are on for several hours a night.

All nations, timezones, and age groups (over 18) are welcome. Why the over 18 disclaimer? Because we're generally 23+, drink, smoke and curse fluently and with great skill and creativity. We also prefer not to be responsible for other people's delinquency because, quite frankly, it's too much extra work to warp other minds. We would rather your mind was warpped to begin with as it saves us the hassle and provides more amusement for all involved.

About you: We are a small guild focused on casual gaming with some elite runs now and again if we think we can do so without complete failure. Primarily we run two or three characters in quests as we have but five accounts comprised of our immediate family and friends. What we'd really enjoy are more couple teams looking for a smallish guild and fairly regular weekly playing hours. We have a small airship (Windsparrow class) for a few buffs and general loitering. The only raid we completed (or attempted for that matter) is The Chronoscope and that was at level 20 with two of us, so we're not hard core. We play to have some fun.

One or more of us will be on-line most weekends from 9a-12p US Mountain time and a few nights during the week from 7p-9p. We have characters ranging from level 4-16 with two TRs at level 7 at the time of this post.
