Last week was a suspenseful victory with 3 newcomers to the Titan Awakes. You can read about it and watch the live stream here (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/494813-High-Lords-will-host-Titan-Awakes-teaching-raid-on-Saturday-March-17-at-9pm-EST?p=6079422&viewfull=1#post6079422).

This week we visit a collection of DDO classic raids. This triple hitter special event we call our Death to Suulomades Extravaganza with the theme of following the horned devil Suulomades through all the raids he appears in. First we will delve into the Subterrane to hunt down Suulomades and kick his butt back to Shavarath in Vision of Destruction (http://ddowiki.com/page/A_Vision_of_Destruction). Then we will follow him to Shavarath and pummel him again in Tower of Despair (http://ddowiki.com/page/Tower_of_Despair). And finally we will go back in time and defeat his forces once and for all in epic Chronoscope (http://ddowiki.com/page/Chronoscope)!

The fun starts at 9pm EST on Saturday, March 24!

Due to the increasing number of raids in DDO, we will no longer be hosting every raid in the game twice during our teaching raid series. Some of the older raids will only be included once this year. This week's event will be the only time we host VOD, TOD and Chronoscope as a teaching raid for the 2018 series, so if you are new to or still learning these classics, please join us!

All events in this series are for players new(er) to the raiding scene or players who are looking to learn raids better. First timers welcome! Please have sound and be willing and able to follow instructions.

The goal is to welcome newer players into the raiding scene, to teach people how raids work, to get players more comfortable with raids and to enhance the Sarlona community. There is no level cap for any of our teaching raids.

If you are new to VOD and Chronoscope, there is no flagging required! You will need to have access to the Vale of Twilight (http://ddowiki.com/page/The_Vale_of_Twilight) and Devil Assault (http://ddowiki.com/page/Devil_Assault) adventure packs. VOD is located in the Subterrane and is confusing to find for many players. We will start from the market and show you how to get to and open the way to the raid. Along the way we'll show you how to find Garamol (http://ddowiki.com/page/Garamol), the Giant Chieftain skeleton rare who resides in a secret location and whose chest contains some really cool named items like Icy Raiment (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Icy_Raiment), Tira's Splendor (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Tira%27s_Splendor) and Luck Blade (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Luck_Blade).

If you are new to TOD, you will need to be flagged by running 4 quests in Amrath: Genesis Point, Sins of Attrition, A New Invasion and Bastion of Power. You will need access to The Devils of Shavarath (http://ddowiki.com/page/The_Devils_of_Shavarath) adventure pack.

New players may find some of my videos helpful for flagging:

Devil Battlefield - A Tour of all Explorers, Rares and Quest Entrances (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVEryq4l2Ew)
Solo Elite Sins of Attrition (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy2GzRJpP80)
How to Solo Elite Genesis Point (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrdkVcA6J44)
Solo Elite Bastion of Power (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHHnPpYmp_I)
How to Solo Elite A New Invasion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sKl2xI6CH4)

You will also want to acquire Boots of Anchoring (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Boots_of_Anchoring) prior to the raid. Boots of Anchoring prevent you from being banished out of the plane of Shavarath and out of the raid. The final boss Horoth can cast Banishment, and if you don't have some way to absorb spells, you will be teleported out of the raid faster than you can say "why am I suddenly in the marketplace?" If you get banished, you will not be able to re-enter the raid and get loot. You can acquire Boots of Anchoring by trading one each of the following ingredients Devil's Keepsake, Pure Shavarath Iron, Demon's Blood and Mysterious Artifact to the Planescaller Liella d'Orien in Amrath. If you cannot acquire Boots of Anchoring before the raid, we have some leftover ingredients that were donated from a previous teaching raid so we can help you get them before we start. You can also use spell absorption items or The Banhammer (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:The_Banhammer) to avoid being banished by Horoth.

Space is limited so reserve your spot ahead of time! If you would like to reserve a space in this Saturday's event, please contact me in game on Gingerspyce.

This event will be live streamed on my Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9-XxuSfsXQ1U9yKUvQSxjw).

Thank you to the community for all the support and special thanks to DDOCast (http://www.ddocast.com/) for mentioning our events. We hope to see you in raids soon! :)

Much love,
Gingerspyce and The High Lords of Malkier

Suulomades had his butt kicked all over the planes during last night's little raidfest that went on past midnight! We had 5 attendees, most of whom were first timers and one who had never been down in the Subterrane. On our way to Vision of Destruction, we tracked down the giant chieftain skeleton Garamol in his secret lair in the Subterrane and looted many treasures. Grats to Angrytiger for finally getting his Icy Raiment after all these years! I really enjoy this Sully themed event, its always been a lot of fun and I hope others will be encouraged to join some of our remaining events. Winter is behind us but we have a spring time filled with more Saturday teaching raids so watch the Sarlona forum for event details! If you missed last night's Sullyfest, you can watch the live stream below.

I also want to welcome the community to take part in our other public raid events. In addition to our Saturday teaching raids, the High Lords of Malkier hosts public raids on Thursdays and Fridays too! If you're interested in running with and getting to know the High Lords or you're just interested in the raids, check out our Thursday Night Abbotfest (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/489437-Abbotfest-with-the-High-Lords-every-Thursday-Night-9pm-EST), where we do 2 heroic abbot raids every week. You can also join us on Friday nights for Mark of Death, Defiler of the Just and Riding the Storm Out in a weekly event we call Friday Night Raidfest (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/486804-Announcing-Friday-Night-Raidfest-with-the-High-Lords-at-9pm-EST!!). These events aren't as formal as our teaching raids, but are newbie-friendly and we are happy to show first timers how the raids work.

We hope to see you in raids soon :)
