Howdy Y'all,

I am trying to be sympathetic and understanding on what the extreme's have been dealing with. So on that note:

I deleted my character that I have had since 2010

Ihiannonnon Cosmetics is now no more

I have had her for close to 8 years and felt I should gain a better understanding of others points of view.

Oddly I am fine with her being gone, she will be missed, but I still take enjoyement from the game.

While I applaud sympathy in general, I don't really understand your POV. These people broke the rules and were punished - their punishment isn't some kind of tragedy that accidentally happened to them. Just as well to volunteer to be in jail for some period of time.

That said, you still don't understand how they feel. You voluntarily deleted your character. You had the chance (whether or not you chose it) to remove anything you wanted, you knew in advance so it wasn't a shock, you chose which character, and if you chose you could also "Undelete" the character.

Is this your way of pretending your toon didnt get deleted because it took part in the exploitapolooza?

If you really want to feel the hurt, delete your main not some bank toon. Just saying.

I guess it's sort of like someone shaving their head in an effort to understand what their friend who has cancer is going through?

Sorry, the OP at least tried to feel empathy. I have none. I cheated on D2, got caught (eventually) and had my entire account removed. Haven't stepped foot in D2 since. I was an adult about it. It stung a little but (I won't lie) but it was time to move on. It is time for the cheaters to move on.

Now if accounts got caught up by SSG that didn't participate, I DO have empathy for them. It's happened before so there is precedence. Hopefully there remains some humans at the other end of the phone lines able/willing to help (after dealing with the above who "need to move on").

OMG. No, no it's not. One of the two situations is actually someone suffering.

I didn't understand the OP's post as an empathy one, tbh. But I second your other point. I hope that no one get's caught in the crossfire.
