In general, the Ravenloft gear will give you more and ought to be prioritized over slaver's crafted items. Look at the RL sets and items appropriate for your build. Likely there will still be room for a set of at least three from Slavers to make the basic Sorcery or Endurance set. Work backwards from there. Once you know what those three or so) remaining slavers items will be and the qualities they will have that are complimentary to those on Revenloft gear, then you'll know what to craft on the remaining Slaver's items that you will use only for levels 8 and 9.

You can have seven crafted slavers items, plus there are the named ones which can also be part of the three sets and which have nice attributes. That leaves a lot of room for suffixes and prefixes and extra slots. You may run out of unique qualities to put on if you make all 7.

Target items for you will be the Slavers Staff, Symbol of the Slave Lords and Spinneret, all named items that can be made part of slavers sets. Make sure your crafted items don't overlap with their qualities. Those three items in particular should be good to last through many, many levels and stay on even once you have RL gear.

YMMV

If you aren't a DC caster, you can save yourself some time and not worry about the heroic slavers set.

If you are a DC caster, it depends on how long you want to wear the set to determine which effects you should craft on it.

If you do need the DC bonus, then it's best to craft effects that are nice to have, but that you wont need to replace every few levels. So don't craft Constitution, Charisma, Spell Power, etc. Instead craft things like Balance, Wisdom, Jump, etc. that you are not primarily concerned with having as high as possible. Save your main attributes/effects for other gear that you upgrade as you level. That way the slavers set remains useful as long as you need it to.

Regarding which gear slots to craft for, look at other heroic gear you plan to use (such as Ravenloft sets, etc.) and craft around those items.

First - I read this thread as warlock GOD, and thought "that sounds about right."

Second - disagree with above personally - full sorcery set with con cha maybe int will be all the gear you need until level 20. If you are using it as a TR platform it greatly simplifies your whole setup. Then do CC gear at 20, real gear at 28/29.

Last advice is great. Also heroic slavers is super easy to farm, and remember to farm around level 13 or 14 reaper 1 to get some reaper bonuses on base gear before you craft !

Also I would aim to put one of your lore/spell powers on the gear and then use weapon for the other. Frees up offhand for orb or whatever.

It all depends on what content you are running. If you are a DC caster running at level reaper, putting your casting ability and CON on ML7 items and calling it a day is not a good idea. Same goes for spell focus mastery. Though I suppose if you have enough reaper points you could get away with it.

The OP never specified if they are DC or just blasting, which in my opinion is a huge determining factor regarding if they even need a slavers set.

Agreed it definitely depends on build type. And I don't totally disagree that by 20 I'm getting *borderline* with my DC caster gear from slavers, but for me that's better than worrying about switching it up every life. And if I really cared I could just use a higher CHA item at 14 or whatever, but it mostly works fine for me (yeah, past lives at this point, and reaper points at this point.)

If you are going for max heroic dc one item should be spinerret or orb for quality +1 spell focus.

You really only need this dc boost for high skull reaper and in a few oddball quests.

If you are goo you need to save one spot for burnscar sash which stacks with other corrosion items.

If you got ravenloff the macabre club and skull ring are pretty nice

Fast easy farms
