Best server for an European Player?

I just got back after a very long break and was wondering if there any particular servers that would be best for someone who plays European time evenings?

I see you've gotten no responses. I'll suggest that you create a character on all servers except Wayfinder*, and then log in to them during what would be your normal play hours once per hour across a couple of week days and the weekend.

Select the one which consistently had a lot of LFMs posted. Avoid those with few LFMs.

It's a bit of a pain to swap servers since you have to close the client. If your computer can handle it you can create multiple accounts and have multiple sessions active to speed the process up a bit.


* Wayfinder should be the natural suggestion for a European player, being that it was once the "German" server. But Wayfinder has, I believe, less than half the population of the next lowest population server. The amount of LFMs available there rarely exceeds ~4 even during prime time and on weekends, and none at all is a fairly common amount. So unless you like solo play, I'd avoid Wayfinder. And even if you do like solo play you can solo play on a populous server and enjoy the advantages of an auction house that actually has things to buy, and where your posted items might sell. Plus the freedom to join a group if you choose to do so.

Ghallanda has a lot of European players. that said depends more on your actual playtime and timezone.

I am a EU player and i play on ghallanda. To my knowledge all the EU servers where merged into ghallanda. I am on CET (UTC+1). There are usually groups although i mostly solo. Alas I don't have anything to compare to as i only play on this server.

Argonnessen usually has a healthy population EU evenings, as well as over the weekends. Slowest times of day are EU mornings, which shouldn't affect you.

Following this topic I also made my char on Ghalanda, still trying to find people to play together so I am doign mostly solo :(

Trying to change that I have started a new Guild "Knights of Sigil" (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/510068-quot-Knights-of-Sigil-quot-a-newly-formed-EU-guild-is-looking-for-members-(Server-Ghallanda)) with the slim hope to populate it with European players. So if anyone is still wandering whre they should go and is playing in the Eurozone drop me a line on Ghallanda.
