Need help on gearset and if this should be viable?
3 paladin for sacred defender. Should give me 1400 hp, and 2000 in us. And still be able to implode. And semi tank with radiant.
Anyhow I think this fits the ravenloft meta.
Trying to get a gearset in mind so I know what I need to slot. Never done a caster cleric.
This thing can also turn dead.
Any thought appreciated.

Can you test and make sure air domain allows lightning spell power to fuel the alignment spells which use light spell power, and not just light spells?
My understanding is:
1. 'Light Spell Power' is the spellpower ordinarily used for Alignment spells, whether or not you have Divine Disciple. There is no separate spellpower for each different alignment, despite what the text says - it's all just Light. Example: A Cleric who invests no points in Divine Disciple can still gain the benefit of Light spellpower to increase their alignment spells.
2. Taking the first point in Divine Disciple means that you will use the higher of your Light or Negative spellpower - from whatever source - for your Alignment spells. Example: Roll a Drow at level 7. Take Darkfire but don't invest any points in class trees or Spellcraft (full points in Heal). You should have 50+ Negative spellpower from starting gear and very little (0-ish) Light. Your Darkfire will do around 15 - 20 points of damage. Now put a single point into either Divine Disciple Darkness. Your Darkfire will now do significantly more damage.
3. The Domains don't actually convert one spell power to another. Rather, they flag specific spells - the ones granted by the SLAs and Cleric class spells - as receiving the higher of the two spell powers. Example: If you play a Sorcerer/Cleric, your Shocking Grasp - whether from Air Domain or Air Savant - will get the full benefit of your Light spellpower. Your Ball Lightning (from Sorcerer) will use your Electric spellpower even if your Light is substantially higher.
Now, I haven't tested this comprehensively from every angle, but I've looked at enough to convince myself that you rarely ever want to invest in Elemental spellpower as a Cleric (nor is the +elemental spellpower you receive from the Domains remotely useful) because virtually everything you cast that isn't from those SLAs will be based on Light. Fire is a possible exception, since Clerics actually receive Fire-based spells. However, once you hit epic levels, your primary offensive spells will be based out of Exalted Angel (which is a heavily Light-based destiny).

. Rather, they flag specific spells
Oh, that makes it simple, just craft LGS Vacuum for negative spell power. Then go Magic Domain.
Negative will top light easily, due to wisdom mod + LGS stacking bonus.
Then you don't care what is or is not flagged.
I dislike EA spells except divine wrath, and all cleric light spells in general, because they aren't standard AoEs. Divine punishment and flame strike are the only ones I like, because DP has a specific purpose (boss dps + procs) and it does it, and flame strike is a true AoE for heroics. The rest are trash beaters, but they don't AoE trash.
I like the alignment spells better.
I like tree form best of all though...

I'm pretty sure that a Fire Domain Cleric's Fire spell power won't buff Divine Wrath. But I'm certain that no Cleric's Negative spell power will buff Divine Wrath. That should be the takeaway here. If you're planning on playing an offensive casting Cleric, you're almost certainly going into Exalted Angel at Epic levels and it's entirely based around Light spellpower. If you're coming out of Electric/Fire/Earth, that means you should really be focused (long-term) on using Light spell power to feed your Elemental SLAs rather than using Elemental spell power to feed your Light SLAs.

You only get Flame Strike and Holy Smite as SLAs is if you go with Light. On a Magic domain Cleric with Dark Disciple, you don't get any of the alignment spells as SLAs - and you're going to rapidly drain your SP pool trying to cast them out of your spellbook.
You also have to consider that all of the actual Negative spells Clerics receive are Necromancy, not Evocation. So all of your Disciple SLAs as well as all of the various negative energy damage spells in your spellbook are going to have poor saves by going with Magic domain.
Personally, I like the alignment spells... when they work... which is not the case against 90%+ of the content. They're only full strength against Outsiders. Against anything true neutral, they're rarely even worth a cast. They're capped between levels 10 and 24 - and at 24, you just get to move the cap up another 10 levels. I certainly wouldn't pursue a build that required minimizing or eliminating the power of every other offensive damage spell I had to get a minor boost in power for alignment spells.

AoE spells will be almost free. 15 base cost from spell book for alignment spells - 20% (pansophic helm + epic levels ) - 10 (crit something AoE - Just Rewards) = 3 mana in epics. Light disciple, but fuel alignment spells with negative spell power (taking universal spell power from DD).
There are only two Master of X feats for clerics, so you pick one at the expense of the other for leveling. Especially if you take BoGW at 27 to stun/nuke. Whatever you pick leaves the other so weak as to be not worth using. Pick both at 24 and 27, and feat swap the one you like less to BoGW. :)
And remember, it is an offensive casting cleric. No one will expect it to compare to a warlock.
Couple things,
Not worried the damage of going light cleric caster
It's one of the things I haven't explored,
And being a proponent of clerics I should know these things...
And I may even build it on Kil first, he's got a cleric life to give
And I've mentioned I built more pure nukers,
But I'm more concerned the hp, for raids
I'm always thinking raid
For quests, I've got my healbot side
I've played that role on vish before
When reaper first came out
And I did great
So I've seen intense fighting and know I can sustain it
So if I get to cast laser beams once in a while,
Itll be for the fun of it
No need to solo here
I run groups
And moreso as a reaper healer
And one other thing,
This is for vish
My original intentions for him was to splash pally
And actually be a fighting man
He was a 15/1 when I came back
So I'd like to keep that theme
Just turn him into a space opera
Instead of wielding a falchion
So I'm not going to craft any LGS for this,
The scepter looks like a choice caster item
At cap anyways,
I guess I could LGS from 26-29
But that's like a couple days maybe
So I need a 30 gearset
And I'm not going to go magic,
I took luck because of displace and no fail saves
And +2 DCs
I could go dragonborn, and lose a feat,
But vish has always been human, so...
And being a switch hitter,
I'm concerned the feats I took in epic
Never really run casters so don't know the terrain there,
Again, this would be a learning curve build
Teach me something
So any advice there appreciate.

Alignment spells aren't coded as 'Light' spells for the purposes of Just Rewards (I know it's strange - I didn't code the game). In any case, without the benefit of metamagic feats, most of your alignment spells are going to be horrible (interruptible, low DC, low spell power). So we're really just talking about a single spell: Holy Smite.
Now, in theory you can stack both Light and Negative spellpower on gear, potentially ending up with slightly more Negative spellpower for Holy Smite. But if you're stacking Negative to the exclusion of Light, you're basically arguing that Holy Smite is so awesome that it's worth gimping Flame Strike and Divine Wrath (as well as all of your single target spells). I can't buy that argument given that it only hits for full power against a tiny fraction of potential enemies - and even at 'full', it's still not your best AE spell.

Alignment spells aren't coded as 'Light' spells for the purposes of Just Rewards.
A lantern ring enables any damaging spell to be a light spell for just rewards, since it adds light spell power damage.
If you are ever playing a caster with poor mana/dmg efficiency or mana pool, can splash 2 fvs and add a lantern ring. Grab a master of X feat (prefer AoE spells for chance to proc just rewards), and spam your low level spells affected by it.
End up with almost free (prefer AoE) dps. Saves tons of mana for necro this way.

if i was to make a cleric 17 paladin 3 build i would go aureon dragonborn necro, death domain build.
dragonborn gets you the extra spell pen and evo dc's while going death domain gets you the extra
necro dc's and turn undead. win win and more win.

Now that the armor is up
Also got null,
So thinking of test driving this on Kil

i personaly would take off wellspring at 27 and completionist at 30 and instead take Ruin and greater Ruin (for Epic Boss Killing)
instead of empower or empower healing (empower probaly the better choice to take off tough) i would swap in Completionist then instead
Ya, this is a theory build. Haven't built it yet, so untested as to what it neededs. I put completionist in there for Kil, not vish, vish ain't that. So I'd prob keep wellspring and take bogw at 30 for vish.
Thing is, I'm not set up for force power. So ruins would be weak. I'm set up for light fire, and I'm not wearing a Pansophic or using the scepter to get any adds. Tho you could wield it in off hand, or use the flame sphere. That'd be for nuking, for raids you prob scroll masters tough and use a tower shield.

Notes
This is my working setup for vish the Imploder
Kil has null, so I included it in seeing the trade offs
But the one item I don't have is the trinket. I'm about half way rune wise to getting it. But I always like to start with the end in mind, so I included it.
There is enough for 5 pc slavers and adherent. Tho likely will lose the adherent until I get the trinket. But the swap is for dd ea so the light items over the devotion items. But when I get the trinket it should be a solid healer. Plus magical efficacy, so I don't have to slot a Pansophic.
Because the goal is to run two different builds. The nuker for questing, and the radiant for raids.
Ok tr vish into this build
I will leave Kil parked at 30 for white plume mountain
I took a primal past life for colors1
And will take a racial human
I think vish has 3 cleric lives
The only thing I'm gonna change is take enlarge for imp shield mastery
So that will be swap at 12
Gonna be sniping with laser beams
Ok,
This is gonna be painful
I'm gonna hafta tell myself that I'll be needed at 30
But it don't look like no fun getting there
So far, lvl3, ran a couple waterworks
The first was he, and we had a full group
So I just mostly piked
Everything was going down pretty fast without my help
Ya my nimbus of light SLA
That does barely half hp on a kobold
But I do have soundburst
But haven't really got it to work yet
I mean, I'm on a third lifer
36 pt human build. Got max wis
But I'm luck, and using a sickle
I was charging into combat and swinging away
But I'm not built for combat, and it does weak damage
So I've got no offense
And meager defenses. No epic pl
But I do have +6 tomes
And I saw I had 11 reaper points.
So compare that to the second run
It was just me and a lvl3 warlock
Doing r1
But we were 3 so didn't have any reaper points figured in
And the warlock soloed the whole dungeon
As I just stood around not trying to draw aggro
Such is the woes of a support toon
Ya, but I got 2 now to run
One heroics and one legendary
So between the both I should make good use out of my time
Actually I'm excited to try divine disciple
I've never run it, so it's something new
I mean, I kinda know it's not gonna measure up
But vish has always been a cleric,
And I don't mind having a support toon parked at 30
But I'll lament the story the whole way
Edit
Oh ya
Had a major snafu during character creation
Did fine until got to the appearance screen
The suddenly I get message to please wait
Never saw that before, didn't know what was going on
I mean, I hadn't had a chance to do his appearance
And it kicked me out to the character screen
It went past appearance straight to creation
So I was kinda ****ed off
It was close to what vish looked like, but wrong hai and beard,
And wrong eyes and color of skin
But I could live with it
And I was worried alignment was wrong, since I have to go paladin
But it was default? To lawful good, so I was ok
Don't know how to change anything, have to recreate the toon
He looks like an Amish farmer
Not what I wanted,
But I can live with it
Lvl4
Ok reconfigured ap, put it all into dd
Got searing light SLA
Configured reaper ap gave me like 170 hp
So then I did harbor 2s with a 4 ftr hire
That went pretty well
I was able to soundburst cc, and throw out my 2 SLA
Together is enough to usual take down a kobold warrior
So I mostly soloed harbor with a hire
Was able to turn and destroy undead,
Even tho I got no points in rs
So base turning at low levels is decent
But soundburst is still jiggy
Sometimes it casts in wrong place, and misses everything
Sometimes it doesn't hit tgts
So it seems like good cc, but I'm having trouble getting it to work
But the hire wasn't really taking any damage,
And I was SLA and soundburst
Mostly emptying spell pool
But seem like I had enough between shrines
So did those and got to 5
So now I'm gonna do catacombs and see how I do in there
Then some 3bc
And prob necro
But the trick is running with others
Haven't been many low level rerolls on during my couple days there
And I can't really solo, but passable with a hire
Yeah, now I'm 5 so can catch the reapers 7s
So I'm out of the hole and running
5 is also where I start putting on gear
I've got some 5s and 6s and 7s for gear
Haven't got a slavers sorcery set tho
Like I said all my gear was weighted towards monk
But I've got some mitral armors
Legacy loot from all those years ago
But now it's basically build up caster gear
Another light build, so it'll be useful
But the spells I got coming up are actual spells and not SLA
So I guess I'm gonna hafta invest into efficient metamagic
Because I took maximize and empower at 1 -and 3
To crank the SLAs
But in a group I'll just be piker cleric
That's ok
I'm old school
Very used to standing around and watching a fight
It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it
Ha,
The bestest thing about 5 and luck,
You get displacement
So sweet
I haven't used it much yet, but 30 sec is for a fight
I'll be looking to see how much more time I get as I level
Did catacombs and another waterworks
Just testing the build
Put on some lvl 5 gear
Got some wis goggles and con and str and speed
Need radiance
In catacombs, was turning the Skellies
The ghouls and others just froze
But also the 2 SLA do great damage to undead
And they cost almost no sp, so cast them a lot
But I was with a group running elite, and we pretty much zerged it
Lotta stais in that quest
I was thinking of respect into radiant
But we had a healer cleric along too
And she was turning as well
Had 3 clerics in the group actually
Third was paladin splash
Doing soundburst and Cleve
But I'm feeling better about contributing
But maybe clerics are op at low level heroics
Lotta undead, so they valued
Idk I'll find out as I go along
But I was getting kills, so that's some measure
Haven't seen a sickle drop yet
I'll have to look on my Druid and see if I have any
I don't think so, but I keep some odd items
Also have to look my slavers gear
And see what I can convert to sorcery
Most is mights?
But I have a cha ring I think, and maybe radiance on it
And a wisdom rin, and con neck, and str bracers
Haven ran a shield yet
Gotta worry arcane failure?
I can't remember can clerics cast no fail with a shield?
Been so long
And the other thing
About public lfms
Yesterday, when I was running quests solo,
I put up lfm for catacombs
Did up the lfm right,
But when I stepped in the quest it made me leader of a public lfm,
And it changed the level range from like 2-5, to 2-6
Increased it one and I had to change it
But I don't know why it's making my lfm public?
Is that something I have to change in options?
Never had it happen this way
Will have to investigate more
But displacement for the win
Now if they'd only give displacement to core18 warpriest
Then we might have a real winner

Thx I'll check those settings next time I have the star
On update
Ran 3bc deleras and some misc getting to 8
At 6 I got luck of olladra, but haven't even hotbar red it yet
Also got Sunbolt
That is coolest ironman blaster hands yet
Ya and holy smite? I got a couple extra
I was using the Sunbolt, not much damage, but looks cool
And I'm starting to put some pts into radiant
To get destroy undead
But for the most part just running rng gear
I mean, it's good stuff, like +4 wis goggles at ml5
And I just turned 7, holding 8
So I got my ff speed4 boots
But mostly I just been piking
Letting the dpsers do their thing
Tossing out heals if needed
But the first 2 SLAs are bread and butter
ESP since undead roam
But I'm loving Sunbolt, casting no meta at 12sp
Ya, can't really kill things, I can but it's slow
Can turn somewhat decent
Think I have a sacred helm somewhere
I'll do a gear list at 8
I gotta get on Kil and get the heroic slavers stuff
Then maybe haft to craft
I really need radiance
I think I have a wisdom ring with devotion
But after 5 the build is doing better
Running mostly just r1
Have about 250 hp
So I stay alive
And I just got 7 so I can scroll raise dead
So I'm little better than a hire
The worst part is self healing in reaper
The Csw and ccw heal little, so it takes 4 or 5 casts
Drains sp
But I was running with clerics
So no worries
One was heal spec and was turning things I couldn't
I should be just as good,
Vish has 3 cleric past lives
And I got a +5 cha ring on
But need more pts into rs
But I'm enjoying seeing new spells
Just don't ask me to kill anything
Oh ya, looked in the bank
So far I've been running without a shield
I forgot the zero arcane failure
So I pulled a +2 mitral, and have a +5 waiting for me at 8
I'd rather maybe something useful, since I took shield mastery at 6
But I got rad on a slavers, so don't know what's good
Been forever since I used shields
I'll have to look on mules and see what I got, not much I think
Oh and I haven't seen a sickle drop yet

Notes
Ok made it to 8
Put on the slavers gear
Got some overlap, and got some undergear,
But it's doing me ok for now. Got devotion and radiance covered.
Need some new armor, and goggles and maybe a helm. Also need new sickle, or a spell casting item. Don't know what I can swap yet.
It's kinda mixed set but it covers the bases until 13.
Oh number of turns is like 18? And I got enough into rs for destroy undead. So I should be able to necro pretty well.
Been leveling pretty well. Mostly just piking, but I generally keep ppl alive. Don't have no efficient max or empower yet, so Sunbolt is base sp. included the DCs of Sunbolt and deific vengeance.
It's hard, no aoe, and soundburst is unreliable, but I'm getting along. Support toon, so run in the back, and watch the scene. Very reliant on other strong members to complete the quest. But I'm into 8, so running groups shouldnt be a problem.
Just Vishs appearance is wrong, got a beard with no mustache, so look like an Amish farmer. It's sad what happened, but just another note that appearance has nothing to do with performance. And I'm having good enough time with dd.
Squaring the circle
It has come to be known
That appearances are just that
To reach enlightenment
Is to square the circle
It is the increase from one to four
Tho it most often happens from the three,
Or the pyramid
And to climb the pyramid
To the eyes top
Is to see beyond
To see space
And know that it is bounded by the four winds
Upon reaching that stage of enlightenment
A new world opens
Siddhis
Or celestial abilities
Are granted on the quest
Given through this process
Some realize the path
And others are to repeat it
Until they too
Square the circle
In ddo terms
This is the monk seeking duality
Reaching outside the limits of his whirlwind
This is the cleric, searching for null
To enable the luck of olladra
It is the supreme wizard
Holding everything in sight
And it is the master rogue
Always rolling critical confirms
Level 10
Did von1-4
Did von5-6 and spine
Ran sands walk ups
Got to 10
9 got quicken and raise dead
Made me feel like a cleric
Ha, warlocks are scrolling resurrection
Weak
Can only cast my low SLA for mana conservation
The fvs and locks have 1000sp I have 700
And I cast heals sometime, empowered healing
Usually Csw
Cast Sunbolt just for cool effect
Mostly am supreme piker
I have been told this build is powerful
Haven't seen it yet
Implosion not til 17
Then 3 pally
Half way there
Heal at 11
Then I'll be a cleric
But I don't have the mana pool to sustain blasting
Seeing the wizards struggle too
A few sorcs, but they have 1000
Prob run a slavers at noon
Need mats for future crafting sorc
Because I would rather be a warlock
Seeing lotta barbs
They have massive hp and super dps
Need heals occasionally
And more clerics
But I don't see them at cap
Most ppl are furious tr
Few stay put
So like me
Kil is parked, vish is heroics being a cleric
Ya, it's not Kil
Really missing the 47 reaper points
But vish has 11, so that means he's growing,
But will generally suck in reaper
Well raids are mostly pug LH
So nothing lost there
Oh ya, also got +2dcs at 9
Haven't noticed it
Maybe higher
Got flame strike
Maybe flame sphere instead
I put it in the bank
That's the idea for 30
With divine wrath
But the mithral is a nice piece of legacy
Need new armor, need goggles
I can't remember if vish has gs
I'll have to look, but I don't remember
And displacement
Best thing ever for a cleric
I can cast it and be invulnerable for a bit
If they only put this at 18 warpriest
But seeing its available in luck,
They probably figure that's where it can be gotten
Sad, because warpriest needs that defense to make up for no aura
Unless they move aura
Ha, when hell freezes over
But I'm making decent time on this build
Mostly just running with strong toons
They solo and I tag along
Kinda support, kinda dps
I find I can steal kills if I time it right
But the 2 and 4 pt SLA only do like 60 damage
And that's with full meta
But my sp isn't very high yet
Radiant gloves at 13
Need a wizardry item
Ok enough said for now
Back to piking
Level 12
A vish story
So was level 10, ran threnal duo with a wizard. We had a lfm up, but no one ever joined. We were just doing it on elite, because the wiz wanted the mantle. So it was quite a good test. I would have to say I got half the kill count. The searing light was doing like 150 damage, which is decent against low hp mobs. And the density in that chain is like single spawns, so we were quite the tandem. I was able to conserve mana off the SLAs and Sunbolt, and we completed all the quests. The last two were arduous, we both were out of mana at the ends, but we did ok. So I know this build can probably solo elite. At least in the old quests.
I haven't done ravenloft yet. I been looking for lfm, but haven't caught any. So I'll prob put one up myself, over level r1, or even elite. Elite makes lot of difference for heals, since one spell can fill you up. But in reaper its like multiple casts and you just waste mana. I also didn't do slavers. Again, I looked for lfm, but nobody ran it.
Been kinda slow leveling, just like one a day. It's very dependent if you can get in groups running. Like yesterday I did the sands chain. And we knocked out some side quests and did all 3 big ones. Chains was kinda rough, we had no trapper. But we prevailed. Man, I tell you, half the old quests is just getting to them.
But I took 11 and got heal. But problem is, it cost too much to cast. 60 sp with quicken. So those have to be used sparingly. But what I did, was turn off empower healing. It was cost my 12 sp Csw to be 22. And I wasn't getting that big a boost, so I figure I'll just cast 2 if needed. Save the heal for a lifesaver. Because I ran newcomers, and pulled the healer belt. That gave some insightful and quality devotion. So my pos is pretty good, like 170 or 180. And with a little bit heal amp, the unmetaed cures do pretty decent.
Also at 11 I found my concord opp wis gs goggles. They are +6 wis, wizardry 150. Elemental 50 sp too. So that covers wis and sp. it was quite a boost and pushed me over 1000 sp. because I really gotta watch my blue bar. Ya I'd like to go nuking, but I can't sustain it. Not like having warlock free blasts. Really those things should cost like 1 sp. change the whole dynamic of warlock.
I also put on the level 10 medium armor for warlock, malice? Not sure but it was better AC. I also looked on a mule and had a few other sets of armor. I got the new cleric armor, but that's 14. I also had plate mail of Barovia lvl10, and may put that on. Just pulled it from the bank.
But I got to 12. And relocated some ap. took tier 5 dd, but just a few pts. Like got flame strike, but at level 1. I got to test it out with flame sphere, and see if it's worth casting. With orb I had like 180 fire. But that is new mode more caster based. Losing the shield it some AC hit, but I generally stay way out of aggro range. Those double range SLAs are nice for that. So I'll give up the shield for the orb and test it out. I still have displacement for defense.
The other thing I wanted to talk about is battlefield awareness. This is like old school cleric training. Because mostly I run in teams and just stay behind everybody. And toss out an occasional heal. This is very unagreesive style. Just watching the other players kill stuff. It's really a different point of view. Just like watching red bars is a very different mindset. And you get them both as the playstyle of a cleric. Like I've said, everybody should play a healbot just for the training it provides. Very useful for reaper. It makes a multi tasker out of you. Because like Kil, running a dc warlock in ea. he has cocoon and cure mod mass. And I often backup as healer, since there's usually never any clerics around. But that came from my days as a healer. And I was running with a fvs other day in sands that was doing no healing whatsoever. Even tho he had twice the blue bar I did. I guess he figured it was my job. But you can always tell the good reaper players. They heal their buddies.
The other thing I pulled was a sickle from the bank. Don't remember it's name, it was pretty decent and had holy on it, and it was a mythic +2. But this whole 12 levels, I've only seen 2 sickles come up for me. Maybe three. And they weren't useful. So I was thinking I need the night mothers scepter from rl. But I haven't done the favor, so that's what I got ahead of me. I got the tokens I think on Kil, but I'd have to look. I want one for my warlock tr too. But I don't melee with the sickle I have. I've just kinda carried it around as a testimony to being a cleric of olladra. Oh sure, a few times I've went in swinging, and it does little bit of damage, but I'd doubt I'd ever play a warpriest of olladra. Even tho the level6 heal ability is kinda nice. Works great in reaper as a full heal. So kinda emergency. And it's on a cooldown, so in long quests you get it back. But I've used it a few times to save my butt.
So that's about it for 12. Got tier5 but haven't tested it out. But I got more mana now, and flame strike SLA, so well see how it goes. Oh ya, got sunbeam too. Put that on the hotbar with maximize. Oh ya, took efficient maximize so I could cast Sunbolt. Now I got sunbeam too.

Notes
Build is performing pretty sweet at 13.
Still not a solo build, at least I don't really want to stress it, but it does great as a duo.
Because I did a lot of ravenloft duo elite. And I was contributing pretty good. In teams I just mostly pike, because once you get over 4 ppl r1 is pretty easy.
The build has decent gear. Wearing both halcyonia and healer belt. Kinda overlap there, but I looked and couldn't find a heroic Pansophic. I know I got one somewhere. Maybe on Kil. He was a heroic lock last, so. I have a halcyonia cosmetic. I'm keeping that on to hide his Amish face. Now he has a reason to hide.
I need the macabre scepter but don't have the tokens on vish. Again I gotta look on Kil. Pretty sure I have enough. That will boost DCs a little.
Really running the build as a nuker. I have good pos, but my light spells are my bread and butter. Using the 2 cheap SLA mostly, and Sunbolt. Don't use sunbeam too much yet. Got kinda a three button rotation. But it really depends on what I'm fighting. I've got the flame strike SLA, and been testing it, but it is slow to hit, like 2 sec delay, so you gotta bunch mobs and time it. Hard to do most of the time. And I'm not seeing large damage either. It's like quarter hp blast. So not efficient to use. I guess the trick there would be to round them up, soundburst, and then flame strike. But I haven't really been able to pull that off much.
I guess it's due to soundburst. I just can't get it to work reliably in the fight. I mean, Tilo says its all that. But if you're getting chased by mobs, you better have displacement up, in order to survive long enough to hard target, wait for it to land, then attack. I really find it hard to do, but I've been playing vish more as a nuker than cc. I guess I just have to practice more. Got 17 more levels to figure it out. Really depends on whether I'm grouped and we got melee. Then someone else is drawing the aggro, and you don't have to panic cast. Ya that's the difference. I'm going to have an extra feat. And I asked about enlarge. But the answer was quicken, and although I did that, it hasn't made the difference. More practice.
I have like 21 turns. That's the difference I notice most between cleric and fvs. Cleric can turn undead. I was doing pretty great in ravenloft. Mostly evrything was dying. Just cast eternal rest, swap trinket and start turning. Also good for saves.
Right now I'm wearing plate armor. Love the look of the barovian plate. It's big and bulky and reminds me of the tin man. But it's got white wings on it so it looks cool. And I'm a cleric running around with an orb, so even more distinctive. Oh ya, that sickle. Was a btcoe. I decide not to use it. I mean I don't think I'm ever gonna make a melee sickle build, but I'll save it nonetheless. It's pretty sweet sickle. Started with a g? But mostly I'm happy about the halcyonia cosmetic. Hiding Vishs face. Guess I can do that for my half elf build for Kil. Lol.
But I'm generally having a blast playing laser beams. I look like iron man.

Was thinking of tring to a cleric after the update some time new wis tree looks op for leveling
Think you might get more out of the new madness pack armor + 9 insightful wis, con and the litany trinket for your profane
And i think the only way to get quality wis is still slavers

Ya, before I ran this build, I came up with a 30 gearset
It's back on first page of thread
I have new cleric armor, so gonna use it
And just got to 14 and put on the heroic version
It's very different look, all golden scales and whatnot
But it goes good with my halcyonia cosmetic
And the +3 wis over the +1 profane of the barovian, nets me +2
Wis at 41 now
Don't have an epic litany, had something else for trinket
But caster cleric does ok
Basically this is gonna be an implosion and mass frog build
I don't see using the new tree to do anything with
It might help a warpriest,
But it's not a warpriest if you put no ap into it
Warpriest still just sucks
And I get the qual wis from a special crafted slavers piece,
So at cap I should be near max wis, no profane, but I'll be fine
Vish is my cleric alt with minimum investment
I'll just use him for raids, and some occasional reaper runs
But I don't think fighting clerics will ever be a thing
Sure maybe in heroics, anything goes there,
But at cap you won't see any warpriests
But silver flame might still be ok with a splash,
But not pure
Only good of clerics now is caster healer hybrids
Level 15
Just turned 15
Got mass death ward. So now I have a group buff.
You know that's one thing. I don't cast buffs. I mean I have a lot of self buff spells, but other than death ward don't ever hardly cast them. Except situationally. I hafta keep my blue bar for casting and heals.
Been trying to use flame strike. Too slow and not enough damage. So really not worth it. I took slay living, but haven't used it yet. I'm still working off the 2 SLA, and Sunbolt, max and empowered, to do my killing.
But now I'm getting into upper heroics, and mobs are starting to have mass hp. Like I was running mines. Did third time duo with a bow ranger. On r1. And it was a nail biter. I mean we just barely managed through each mob group. The drow are no joke. And this ranger was good. He was furiously switching between paralyzers and dps. And I was just trying to stay alive. 150 damage vs 2500 hp isn't much dps. And the Sunbolt was hitting for like 300-500. So I was going nowhere fast. But I kept him alive, and I helped. I tried using soundburst, but it just wasn't working versus the drow. But we slogged thru it, and if it wasn't for the mana globes, I would have been useless towards the end.
But contrast that to a group I ran with later in the evening. Full group, running same content on elite. And it was a cakewalk. Other than the tempest ranger getting his ass kicked all the time, I rarely had to heal. And I didn't have to dps, so I just stood back and watched. Just like running some gh. I had three warlocks in front of me with cones and didn't do a **** thing. Extreme piking.
Ya the difference is time. That's why I don't like running higher reaper without experienced toons. Each mob a serious fight and it just takes forever. But I don't know. Have gotten so used to speed trials running leet content that you miss the challenge. I guess it just depends whether you're going for xp or challenge. Most of the time leveling I just want xp. But at cap I want challenge.
Other than that, only new gear is I found the Pansophic and put it on. And I'm wearing the new cleric armor. And I got a planar compass for trinket. I don't think I'm gonna change anything else until 21.
So couple more levels to implosion. Then paladin. And then epics.
Oh ya. The macabre scepter. I had the tokens ok Kil. So I went and bought one and was going to put it in the bank, and doh, it was bound to character. Totally forgot that part. So anyhow, now Kil has one, but vish is high and dry since I'm like 10 short. Would have to run a lot of ravenloft. And I don't think it will happen this life. So I don't know. That's a pretty crucial casting item, and without it I'll be a little gimp. I don't know where else to get casting DCs for lower levels. Can u craft spell focus? I'll have to check. Because I kow I can't rely on rng coming up for me. Oh well, maybe I'll just run another saga and get the talismans.

Not sure if many do, but I read your ramblings :)
Spell focus mastery can be crafted on trinkets and hats, ML13 for +3.
Earthen Mantle would be in your level range and give you +4 evo focus and other useful stuff.

Notes
Turned 17, became the Imploder!
So far, it's not all that, but will continue to test it.
Crafted a cc ml13 +3 spell focus trinket. Since trinket was where I had room. Posted DCs for save spells.
Other than that, mostly just piking away.
Most groups don't expect a nuker cleric. So I surprise them. For the most part my dps isn't needed, so I just pike in back. I have been using destruction. It's a nice instakiller.
But nothing too much of note. Just ran orchard and grim series and started on LOD. I'm kinda abit ahead of where I thought I'd be. So may be doing some 16s at 18. That's always a good sign. I've no tome of learning on vish, so it's just base xp. But he's been hitting the circuit, mostly doing everything reaper at level.
Now to plug in three levels of pally. Maybe have 500-600 hp by 20.
Duh duh duhn
The bird man cometh!
Now with wisdom conversion in new tree,
Have rethought Vishs future
Holding 18, will level to 20
But I may not take this build thru epics
See, vish was always envisioned as a fighting cleric
And when I came back couple years ago,
All was up was Axel's radiant thf build
But I didn't like that
It was a wis dump build
Totally counterintuitive
So now that wisdom conversion is available,
I'm gonna test build it on Kil,
Then see if it's good enough to remake vish into
That's the bird man talking
But it's a 17/3 fighter splash,
With implosion and mass frog
And free khopesh dps
So it should be a pretty good build
But I'm gonna farm white plume for a week,
Or until I get a couple sentient sparks
Then I will tr Kil
Until then I'll just take vish to 20 and farm tokens
But really I can only play one at a time
And I prefer Kil,
Since he has all my life's on
But I would rebuild vish if it's a better build
But I got to test it first
Ok, post again at 20
Level 20
Ok made it quick to 20
Rest ea and made it active
Took sun bolt and divine wrath
Have 550 hp and 2500 sp
So now I have two sun bolts
But I don't think the ap is worth it. I take tier5 dd, for the flame strike and the add to caster level. So not much, since I don't use the flame strike. The other issue is all the ap into efficient max and empower. I only run the one spell Sunbolt cranked. So I'd rethink the ap, maybe turning into a radiant, and just relying on the SLAs for free metamagic. So maybe 33 into radiant for tier5, and 20 something for dd. oh ya also lose the 15 light sp from dd tier5. Not too big a deal. But I think that swap would achieve about the same function, and make me a radiant. Just playing notes.
Got lucky. Rolled a pair of 99 for daily and weekly. Got some shards a +1 tome and a cosmetic outfit.
But really,
What I'm going to do is shelve this build. And turn vish into the bird man. It will still be a wisdom build, and have implosion and mass frog, it just will be khopesh running dc, instead of a light nuker in ea. I prefer the free dps. It makes the sp a lot easier to manage. And that vish was always supposed to be a fighting man. Maybe now I can make that reality.
So I'm gonna tr vish into the bird man, and turn Kil into a aasimar duality, using new wisdom tree. So I will have two in heroics and two running wis builds. Mostly because I see more need for Kil as a melee dps in endgame. There are enough warlocks running around. And vish will still make the meta with implosion and mass frog. So he will be good for baba. Tho I need runes for Strahd to get calamity. Ya I didn't want to build it on Kil and then not go full out. But I've got the gear for a duality build, and don't have to craft anything.
So I won't take this to 30, even tho it's been a blast playing a dd. although it can't really solo, it does add versatility to a group. And it gave me some experience running a cleric without aura. Under almost all conditions he did fine.
So I'm gonna wait for another patch, hopefully the servers will stabilize. Because I'm afraid to tr with all the bugs that have been happening.
But vish will be the bird man, and Kil will be the monk.
You know how you fix ugly?
You tr

Ive been watching the thread, saw this. Its on the quest entrance box, lower right hand corner. There's a gear icon, it's there
Still waiting for updates to the build,. :)
For clarity, when you have the quest window open, there are two little circles down below in the right hand corner, and there is where you select private or public questing. Even in a private quest, unless it is specifically flagged as solo, you can invite people directly and you may even be able to post it, but since I have typically only ended up inviting guildies.
I also had this problem and missed the circles, don't feel bad.

US is a trap, and a poor one at that. It won't save you from anything. AC doesn't matter, and if a few more HP does...eh.
No the one you want is Exalted Angel, for Divine Wrath, Avenging Lite is also a pretty good single target option. Divine Wrath is a straight up AO ranged Nuke Massive Heal. I can keep tanks healed with it, it crits in the 9k range. If you are serious about Radiance, this is where you have to live. If you are truly an imploder/destructor, you could be in Magister.
The only appealing ability in US is Light the Dark, but it doesn't hit as hard as Divine Wrath and also only works against undead. Man, I wish a version of Harm Mass was in the game.
Now, I might be ****ing on US a bit hard because I spent a lot of time in there before switching to EA at the prompt of a guildie and dang, it's good.
