Iconic Slave Lords Reaper farmer -- anyone have ideas

Howdy yall,

I am needing to farm a bunch of heroic slave lords for crafting and I figured I might as well do it at Reaper1 for the chance of reaper bonuses on items.

I have a level 16 Cannith Challenge Farmer, a level 21 Eveningstar Challenge Farmer and a at cap warlock for named item farming.

To run reaper on slave lords you cant be higher than level 14. So my question is: What would be a good icon to take levels to 14 and then gear up and run R1 slavelords at speed?

I took a gnome illusionist, leveled it to 1wiz/13 warlock and added some random gen loot to it.

It definately is not zergish for slave lords.

Anyone have any ideas that would work well? I considered a Shadarki Arty/Rog, but then i rememebered the numbers of grouped up mobs and it didnt seem like a great idea for reaper 1 slave lords. Since its an out of the box iconic it doesnt have the past lives or reaper points already built in.

Any ideas?

I've been running around with a bladeforged 10 lock / 2 monk / 3 pally burster build (on elite, not r1). I guess I would drop a paladin level maybe? Lose defensive stance and some saves but free up points to spend on some more damage from TS or maybe cone shape. Tentacles, bursts and high evasion are just about all you need.

That might work. Take bladeforged and get the heal as they arent nerfed that badly in R1. Since its a farmer I want speed. I am thinkking maybe a PDK bard swashbuckler, for it. My eveningstar challenge farmer is a pdk bard and is FAST. Not sure how it works with slavelords though. Only done it on my at cap Lock.

Definitely agree on the speed thing. But Slave Lords is definitely built with the "pack of guys" mentality, so I would be wary of any build that isn't strongly AOE focused (like swash). Perhaps a 12 Ranger / 2 Barbarian Tempest could fit the bill?

I'd go for warlock ES/SE.
Soul eater has speed increase available as T2.

Swash can get enough AoE; you just take cleaves and en-point. All low cooldown, and with decent gear the rotation is enough to kill anything except stoneguard/light bearer/hero's soul.

I'd like to see if a handwraps monk with whirlwind attack or a 12 monk/2 rogue with a stick would work well. It gets movespeed and wings.

A morninglord cleric 2/sorc 12 (air domain) will also get wings and a lot of AoE damage through spells.

Barbarian should do well; but no wings. And of course a borelock is quite strong at that level range.

Blade forge 13sorc 1 paladin or 12 sorc 2 paladin. Go air savant, zip around with wind dance, mow enemies down with ball / chain lightning and lightning bolt sla, spam reconstruct to stay alive.

I havent done any sorc lives since 2014. I hadn't even considered that. Should work fine. Will try it tonight.

Aside from that its generally a fun build to play. I would probably still use my Fey Warlock challenge farmer, but I real do like that build that jscott457 suggested. It's really fun to play!

You don't have to take your 15th level if you make an Iconic character.

I dont really use alts I just have farmers and my main that is working on heroic and racial PL

challenge farmers built:

I have:
lvl 15 Warlock challenge farmer I use for Cannith,
Lvl 21 Swash challenge farmer for evening star
lvl 30 Bladeforge Warlock for heroic named farming

Realisticly I can turn the bladeforge warlock who already has 7 or 8 past lives into a Raveloft reaper farmer. Thats the other one I need to figure out is a good farmer build for ravenloft reaper.

I leveled up and made it to 17. Also here is another tid bit of fun. You can take an L17 toon and do the Ravenloft chain on elite and that will take you to 20 if you want to skip all the other content once yu get to level 16/17.

: ) ) I couldn't resist leveling, but I do like the Fey Warlock with the misty escape. I've used various toons to grab mats on heroic. I still need to finsih my caster set on heroic. Probaly will use the Fey for that.
