I'm looking for a level 20+ quest where you fight a boss pretty much right away. All of the quests I can think of (listed below) have issues with immunities to fire and/or negative energy damage (trying to test a thunderforged weapon). I will gladly take any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

The Claw of Vulkoor - immune to fire
Deathhouse - healed by negative energy
Impossible Demands - immune to negative energy
Mark of Death - healed by negative energy
Old Baba's Hut - not sure of resistance/immunity, but would need someone to kite the house
Fire on Thunder Peak - immune to fire and would need kiter
The Unquiet Graves - not sure, testing this one tonight
The Reaver's Fate - could work depending on how often I get blown around (back against the wall in a corner maybe?), but has mithral DR
The Tracker's Trap - Giant boss near beginning
Grim and Barrett - Orthon boss
Subversion -your choice of orange-named elemental
Caught in the Web - 3 named bosses at the start
A Cabal for One

Edit: adding quests as they are suggested

Reaver's Fate.

Only problem for DPS testing is that he's going to keep blowing you away from him so you'll lose time running around.

I'm a bit out of the loop on a lot of the new weapon effects, but "Unholy" as I knew it only worked on good aligned targets. You're not going to find many of those, boss or otherwise.

Thanks for the Reaver's Fate suggestion. That might work.

The Unholy damage on the Thunderforged weapons is implemented differently from the Unholy effect found on old random-gen stuff.

Basically the old stuff was like the Holy effect, where it made your weapon "Good" in terms of DR breaking and only damage evil aligned enemies.
The Thunderforged weapons are like Legendary Green Steel, where the unholy damage is just damage, and it doesn't add any DR breaking properties to your weapon. It will hit everything though. Some things just happen to be immune to, or in the case of undead, healed by unholy damage.

Undead are not healed by unholy damage. They are healed by NEGATIVE damage. They are DIFFERENT THINGS.

I have to yell this at people so much. Unholy != negative. Totally different things. And force traps ARE NOT SONIC TRAPS. THOSE ARE DIFFERENT THINGS.

RWARG.

Stormreaver is generally not a good target for DPS testing because he has wonkus Mithril damage reduction.

Whoops, sorry. :-) You are correct, Thunderforged do NEGATIVE energy damage.

If he doesn't knock me around too much I can take Pierce Silver at 29 and will totally use him for my testing.

The giant near the start of The Tracker's Trap has a good sack of HP and not much resistances/immunities.

There's a named Orthon near the start of Grim and Barrett (3 fights before it).

Subversion allows you to fight your choice of elemental right at the start. And they're orange-named so they got decent HP.

Caught in the web has 3 named mobs right at the start a Cursed Bebilith, Drow priestess, and a drow. Although this is a raid.

It's not silver. It's MITHRIL. Pierce silver feat doesn't bypass it. You need a metalline weapon.

Good to know. Thanks for the clarification.

A Cabal for One is a classic; just fight the hobgoblin in the doorway.

Thunderforge (http://ddowiki.com/page/Thunder-Forged)weapons ARE metalline. No need to take any metal damage bypass feat to test them on the Stormreaver, since metalline includes Mithral bypass. E.g., Thunder-Forged Greataxe (http://ddowiki.com/page/Thunder-Forged_Alloy_Greataxe)

Yeah, but thunderforged isn't the only weapon I'm testing.

I think I may have found a winner.

I would go try the nanny in death house.

Ooh, that's a good one.

You can also fight those nasty shadows in An Invitation to Dinner. Or just run straight to the end of Into the Mists and fight the Scarecrow boss. The Skeleton and Werewolf bosses in Sealed in Amber are very easy to get to, as well. There's a very easily-accessible Shambling Mound boss in the Final Vintage.

Slot DR breakers into your weapons and have at the portal in Auissiecarax’s valley.

Gardak Bruntsmash (the Cabal hobgoblin) has been the go-to sack of HP for dps testing for a long time. You will see build threads talk about "bruntsmash tests". Shroud portals are often used to test 100% fortification DPS. Either in Shroud, in the Vale Adventure area, or in Aussiecarax's Valley in Reaver's Reach. The portal in Reaver's Reach is a 100% spawn rate rare.
