Blue coins do not show up in the log. I can be watching the log with a page full of white coin log messages, with the red bag opened and searched down to 'coin,' and I'll see the on-screen message that I got a blue coin, I'll see the blue coin count in the bag increment, but there will be no log message.

Dunno about purple coins, I haven't gotten any of those yet.

Obviously this is a grave, play impacting bug of the most crucial importance. I thought I should report it as soon as possible so it could receive the attention it deserves.

They show up in your log when party members get coins, and they show up in party members' logs when you get a coin, but they don't show up in your log when you get a coin.

The only thing that matters when coin collecting is the TING sound, that's your confirmation. Like the song says...

If you don't hear that TING, then you ain't got a thing (do-wap, do-wap, do-wap, do-wap, do-wap)
