Is it intended that if you have temporary hp over your maximum HP that fast healing will not go off.

For example if I have 500 HP of life and I am at 450/500 then fast healing will go off.
If I have 480/500(+30) then fast healing will go off.
If I have 510/500(+30) then fast healing will not go off. So it will never heal my true HP up to full as long as I have the temporary HP

Not sure what you mean by "your true HP".

There is Health (unbuffed), and there are Temp HP.

Afaiu, you cannot "heal" temporary HP. You can replace the full effect, but cannot buff that back up w/ cure/heal effects.

And Temp HP are the first to go.

So if you start at full health + temp HP, and take some damage, no, you can't heal that.

But if you start at less than full health, and then add temp HP, then you can still heal your "normal" health to full.

If "both" - you have less then full health, add temp HP, then take "some" damage - you can heal whatever health you were originally missing, but you can't "heal" the temp HP.

Does that answer the question?

OP is saying that Fast Healing is not doing this even though it should.

No that does not answer the question. I understand what you saying in your message. If my Non-buff HP is 500 then I buff up to be 520 then I take damage down to 510 Heals do not help me because the temporary damage took the HP loss.

What my situation is this.
My Normal Full life status is 500HP.
I took damage so that I was down to say 400 life. Therefore I am short on 100 Actual not temporary life. My Fast Healing kicks in every minute and gives me 17 life. So after one minute I am at 417 life. Down 83 life from full.
Then I'm going to go into battle so I get say 200 temporary HP added. So instead of 417 life I am at 617 life. So I am at 617/ 500 (+200) where the 200 is temporary life. I finish the battle without taking damage so I still have 617/500 (+200) life. So I am still down the 83 real life. I wait for the fast healing to kick in and it doesn't because the temporary life is bringing my total life above my unbuffed norm. It seem like the Fast Healing ability compares your current life with your max life and if it is higher than your max life it does nothing. Therefore it will not Heal your true life back up.

If I want to raise my true life back to full I have to use a spell or potion which would then raise me to 700/500 (+200HP)

...So after one minute I am at 417 life. Down 93 life from full.
(...83, but sure....)

I wait for the fast healing to kick in and it doesn't because the temporary life is bringing my total life above my unbuffed norm...
Ah... k, that does not seem to be WAI, agreed. (Tho' I may be missing some finer print in FH.)

Bug report, wait for the fix?
