So, I've done some reading here and on the wiki, and have yet to find the answers...

Do specific filigrees drop in specific quests/chests? I understand they only drop in Ravenloft on legendary.

Also, is it possible to get the rare/upgraded filigrees on EH, or do you need to run Elite or Reaper?

Any difficulty, but they are very common on elite/reaper.

That is all you need to know :)

Filigree only drop in legendary quests in Ravenloft, but there it is completely random what you get and where. Higher difficulties drop more filigree, but I do not think you get more rare filigree on higher difficulties though. The chests from encounters in the explore area seem to drop filigree often too.

Yes, each sentient jewel has a max of 7 filigree slots.

The Devs have hinted that there is room to expand to more than 7 in future updates.
