The persistent lag freezes and resulting deaths from them have really detracted from what otherwise might have been an enjoyable expansion.
I'm so friggin sick of the lag deaths that I really don't even care about Ravenloft anymore. Even when it's not actually frozen there's enough constant lag that it feels like I'm playing on a 2s delay. It causes problems with timing of abilities, makes heals not land, and on and on.
It kills the new content buzz. It's like being randomly kicked in the sensitive bits while opening Christmas presents.
It's ridiculous. Fix it.

I agree with you, the enjoyment of Ravenloft was marred by this bug. I reported it 6 weeks before the release date of Ravenloft and requested that they postpone until this bug had been addressed though the thread was obfuscated by the Mabar event which some people insisted was the cause even though it started before Mabar went live. It will come as no surprise to you that my pleas were ignored.
The most annoying aspects of this bug are the freezes when reapers spawn which result in a 5 second freeze followed by a lovely view of my soulstone, and equipping a heal scroll in combat which is also accompanied by a 5 second freeze and a lovely view of my soulstone. As a result of this bug I am unwilling to play at difficulties above R1 so I'm effectively locked out of more than half of the game content. Some progress in understanding the issue does seem to have been made by the devs and I'm hopeful that this will lead to a fix in the not-too-distant future. It would be nice to get regular, weekly, updates on progress from the devs in place of the sporadic ones we've had to beg for so far.

(Combat): you received 5347 of aggregate lag damage, of which 0 was blocked by your gaming computer with high end graphics card and your high speed cable internet connection.
PS: Please enjoy that cocoon, renewal and heal sent by your cleric when you started taking damage and was reliably delivered to your soulstone only 5 seconds later by SSG's virtual servers.

Huh, I thought this was going to be a multiple choice question
