Ok, title says it all.
Not willing to pay the price for the only one available on my server so going to farm it (hopefully).
1) Does Sapphire of Crushing Guard (http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Sapphire_of_Crushing_Wave_Guard) drop in the End Chest or the Optional? I assume the End Chest but I have learned through life lessons that assuming is bad.
2) Does it drop on all difficulties? Again, I assume it does but I know Golem's Heart only drops in EE so want to confirm this too.
Thanks for all help
p.s. Already done two runs, EN/EH so I know I can run the stupid thing. It's near TTT so I have just added it into my dailies.

I have pulled it once or twice from the end chest of Garl. I usually skip the optional since I stealth it. If you wanted to ransack the optional, that would be pretty easy to do since it is near the entrance

Will it drop in any difficulty, if you know? Or at least EH? Those chain Stuns are brutal.
And thanks for the response.

I have acquired three Sapphires of Crushing Wave Guard on Epic Normal difficulty from Old Tomb, New Tenants. I believe all three came form the end chest but I could now swear to it.

Thanks. I'll be running them again tonight then for my daily's. I'm just glad I don't have to do it on EE, because it wouldn't have happened.

I just pulled it from EN Garl 2 weeks ago or so but I am not sure which chest because I always do optional for additional loots.
Hope it would help, good luck!

I pulled one of these a little while ago and have no use for it.
If you're on Khyber send me a PM here with the name of one of your characters and I'll mail it to you for nothing.
Thanks.

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately, it isn't my server.

No problem. Maybe you can find someone to trade with on your home server; I've run that quest a fair bit and not had many of these augments drop.
Good luck with it.

I apologize in advance for the silly question but what is attractive about this weapon augment? What kind of damage does it do, and what is the % chance that it goes off?

Crushing Wave Guard
Effect: This item stores the unstoppable force of the ocean's fury deep within. When the wearer of this item is successfully attacked in melee, this power occasionally comes to the surface, crushing enemies beneath a torrent of frigid water.
Damage is approximately 25 to 36 points of cold damage and 30 to 37 points of bludgeoning damage.
(Combat): Jungle Troglodyte hit you for a total of 3 points of bludgeon damage after 5 were blocked by damage reduction.
(Combat): You hit Jungle Troglodyte for 31 points of cold damage.

Proc rate appears to be low (estimate 5%) although I did experience a run of 3 consecutive procs. Found on: (2) Crushing Wave Guard items:

For ML 22 this isn't much damage. All guard-type effects are sadly broken.
Shame, as being able to attach a damage-dealing augment to a blue slot would otherwise be very popular.
