So this thread is a bit late - today, Wednesday, is the last day of MR Hunter week - but I thought I'd throw it out there for those who aren't familiar...

o http://ddowiki.com/page/Mysterious_Remnant

What are the good items from this event? Any "must have" items, or at least "pretty nice to have"? I know a lot of stuff is now "better", but not everyone crafts, nor is VIP and owns every pack (Slavers, etc.).

I know I've seen Mysterious Cloak and M's Bracers on some build's gear-sets, but seems there's a lot of competition for any gear slot. Anyone gotten good mileage out of anything particular?

What's recommended? Eternal Potions first?

If you have the Rems and nothing better, might as well get the Tomes - only 1%, but every little bit helps, and what else you gonna spend them on?

Just asking for the new(er) community, kinda wondering what the consensus is, if any.

I would heartily recommend (eventually):
- one of each cloaks
- one of each bracers
- FoM potion for most characters (btc)

If you have a character permanently parked at a certain level (challenge runner or similar), consider grabbing an extra cloak/bracer for him/her.

I like to slot Master's Gift and Heavy Fort in the cloak/bracers and keep them worn from 7-8 to 30. The Heal Amp stacks with most common sources; this particular bonus type is fairly rare. The insightful MRR is significantly higher than what other loot offers.

Just saw the post on Facebook, hope everyone asking for this for the past 6 months has heard about it. As far as items go, I like the cloaks and everlasting pots, especially the death ward one.

I used the ML21 Bracers slotted with Sapphire of Good Luck +2 and Vitality +20 for a long time, all the way up to 30 sometimes. The bracers/cloak are also excellent items for alts.

I second the recommendation for the Eternal Pots of Deathward.

Also possibly Freedom of Movement if you don't have it on gear.

Not 1%. Just +1.

After turning in the remnants for the DW pots on 4 characters and using it in quests, I have to say it's not as good as I thought it was going to be. These pots are nothing more than 10 minute clickies without the need to swap items to use. They can still be dispelled. Wished I spent the remnants on the FOM pots instead because I already had been using the DW goggles from Tangleroot.

They are also like clickies and can get expelled. However, the nice thing about the FOM one is that it lasts longer than the cooldown, so when it ends you can drink the potion.

While the wiki states that the spell length for the DW pots is 10 minutes, in my experience it wasn't that long, so DW was only up for part of the POT.

Having multiples doesn't matter, as it puts them all on cooldown.

Love the FOM, and the bracers/cloaks. There isn't much left on the list that I actually want, and I have 30k+ remnants.

The point is that sometimes you need the spell version as opposed to the equipment enchantment/aug version, and any spell version can be dispelled. Yes there are a few other in game sources of deathward clickies, but not all players have them or own the content they are found in. It's a situational item that can often be the difference between failure and success and totally worth it in my opinion for any character that doesn't already have access to the deathward spell or clickie.

That being said, the visors are easier to farm and you can get them anytime, but for a player with excess rems, or that doesn't have access to tangleroot, the deathward potion is a solid choice.

I just picked up my second level 21 cloak and put my only Draconic Soul Gem and a Globe of True Imperial Blood, made it lvl 25 but my warchanter is much happier.

Are the potions, cloaks, and bracers things that can only be acquired during the special event or are they available for trade all the time?

Scan the Wiki article that was linked in the OP. Anything under the section "Limited time rewards / Champion Hunter Week"... yeah, what it says.

Outside of the event the tomes are nice

I have the FoM and DW pots but I tend to use the DW pot the most these days since I can't be bothered farming Tangleroot. In the meantime though you can get DW pots from the Cleric vendor in Eveningstar for 1 Cleric commendation per pot. They last 20 minutes and can be used from level 1.

I focused on the tomes though first since they are a permanent upgrade to your character but that's just me.

Every pot available is a nice to have nowadays as there are good alternatives available.
Most of the times I never use them even though its the first thing I take out of bank.

The tomes are indeed a wise investment in your character, able to push a margin call in your favor.

Long Lasting Elixirs are a good sink of remnants, once you have tomes/items. +2 stacking stat for 1 hour of questing, lasts through deaths, for only 250 remnants.

Also Augments, though limited selection. I routinely buy stat/spellower ones for leveling.
