Have you ever felt that boredom when running lowbie quests for Elite Favor? I can understand why hardly anyone does Elite Favor stuff anymore, because it puts them right to sleep. I feel that boredom every life on my toons also, and I start to fall asleep. Imagine running Korthos Island over and over again every life, and it makes you fall asleep. Seriously, all this to keep saving up turbine points to buy great stuff at the DDO Store? It's become like a routine habit for me.

I like to have my list full of elites or epic elites. Quests in my reaper reach I even run on reaper. I am a favor farmer by heart.
And yes, I run Korthos every life but more out of sentimental reasons.

But I have to admit, try to keep up the favor in an iconic life b4 I am ready to TR is kind of hard because lvling is so fast, especially with reaper bonus.

Running favor is perfect for the breakfast run or w8ting on friends. I like it.

Actually, I planned on hosting a levels 1, 2 and 3 elite favor blitz today on Sarlona.
Not sure what time though. My girl needs me to take her shopping.

I thought with veteran status 3 kicking, might get a bunch of peeps looking for quick dodo points.

SSG offers you a way to acquire in game services for just playing. It is boring and if you dislike that, pull out your wallet. What is the solution you have in mind, getting free points without favor farming? I have absolutely no idea what point you are trying to make.

I've taken to listening to podcasts while I run quests I don't need to pay attention to. I now associate Sorrowdusk isle with some pretty funny radio sketches :D

If you want 5000 favour for a +5 tome, running all quests on Elite gets you there faster.
There are 2 main options... run your character from lvl 1 up with a heroic race, so you run the quests at level as you gain XP or run your character from lvl 15 up with an iconic race, then run huge numbers of quests for favour but no XP when you get around to it.
If you aren't aiming for the +5 tomes, there's no need to rack up large amounts of favour... just get things like Coin Lords and House K for Backpack/Bank space. and pick and choose on others.
There are enough other quests out there that people don't need to run things they loathe just to get the favour from them, and if you are TRing regularly and don't need the quests for XP, its probably faster to get the DDO Points from Favour/XP quests at level on the next life than by doing specific favour runs, especially given that higher level quests offer so much more favour.

The Korthos Quests and a number of the other low level quests are teaching quests... Jumping, Solving Puzzles, Smashing Things, Not Smashing Things, Protecting NPCs, Lessons in expectations (no end chest without a rogue) etc. They are a necessity for new players, but a lot can probably be skipped by people who know how to play (most of whom can start new characters at lvl 4 or lvl 7 even if not going iconic) - game knowledge and good equipment can allow experienced players to play above their level, even without past life benefits to assist.
