View Full Version : Confused: not getting access to Ravenloft quests

I have been running around the wilds of Barovia, finding quest entrances and quest givers. None of the givers will give me their quest and the entrance refuses me entry.

I have spoken with the quest chain givers in the taverns and with the saga giver.

Level 11, in case that has any bearing.

First I'd ask, did you do into the mist quest from either house J or ES? if you somehow bypassed that maybe you have an issue (maybe if a bottle of mist took you to tavern first time instead of the entrance?). I was able to run death house before talking to any chain giver once I did into the mist..

Yes, I did the version from House J, completed it, then entered Barovia.

So, I have to run Death House before I can run any others?

They're organized into three sets. You can do the quests in each set in any order, but each set must be done in order.

First set is Death House, Fresh-Baked Madness, and Invitation to Dinner.

Technically the first set is Into the Mists, Death House, and Fresh-Baked Dreams - once you've done those, you're flagged for An Invitation to Dinner.

It's a small distinction but an important one, since a few people might have skipped Into the Mists without realizing it (e.g. by being teleported to a Barovian tavern via Bracelet of Friends.)
