This was my first Iconic life , I just now hit lv 20 and it wont let me Heroic True Reincarnation, this blows. So I CAN tr into a iconic but cant tr out? So now I'm stuck in iconic? I still have a few classes to tr into.

Iconics have to level all the way up to 30 before they can Iconic TR. That is the ONLY way an Iconic can TR.

You have to go to 30 as an Iconic. I think it's something about the devs not wanting people to run 5 levels and get a past life.

Be careful when you hit 30. If you epic reincarnate you cannot heroic reincarnate. To get back to 1 you need to do an iconic from 30 to 1. In that case you get the class & iconic race past lives.

Let me get this straight... I NO longer want to be a Iconic bladeforge, so to get out of this I have to continue to lv 30 at which time I can TR back to a dwarf?

Correct when you do get there you will need an iconic heart of wood to complete the reincarnation and then will be able to start over as a level 1 dwarf. You will earn a class past life and an iconic past life feat.

lmao that sucks, I just turned in all my epic token for a heart of wood now I need to buy a Iconic heart of wood.

But what makes this even worse is that the heart of wood is bound to character , So I can't use it for at least two lives haha, good one Turbine.. great business model. I have a guy sitting at 30 now I could have used it on.

At level 30 you can speed farm, or buy with commendations, Heart Seeds to turn in for hearts of wood. Also, Heart Seeds are BTA, so you can farm them with other toons.

Thats right I forgot about that, I never take the heart seeds, never had any need for them. Thanks for the info.

Sorry for you frustration all that I can say from personal experience is that the in game instructions of the process is anything but clear. Thankful the ddowiki exists and does a thorough job of explaining things.

I feel for ya, but only up to a point. Whenever I try something new, I always try to read up on it.

I just edited in some emphasis for future readers, and admittedly there's always a lot to read the first time, but still, the info was there - you've been here since '07, what more can you expect?

At least it's just a pain, and not a fatal mistake. Enjoy the HoW when it comes around! :o

Actually on the Iconic Life the requirement that you need to get to level 30 and use an Iconic Heart of Wood is actually one of the clearer mechanics. Of course it does take some reading of the dialogs and is not intuitive if you are basing it on knowledge of the True Reincarnation and Epic Reincarnation models.

But I agree with C-Dog here, when doing something new it is best to read up on it, I would also add it is best to read all the dialogs during character creation as well.

Yes very wise.. read read read. With that said, I just went to create a Iconic to make sure I had missed this information, and there is no info on this , nothing saying "Hey dumb ass you will have to take this toon to lv 30" nothing. As for the True druidic heart of wood, I take full responsibility for that. Taking the blade forge to lv 30 is not that big of a deal, I was just looking forward to wearing my new cosmetic armor.
