DDO epic bounty's

Doing some epic tr's and am really tired of running the same daily epic quests. Yes, I know I can run other quests, but the only thing worse then the boredom of running spys again is running something else for 1/3 the xp. One solution would be to add an npc that would offer bounty's on 2 or 3 epic quests and maybe 1 raid. The quests list would change every week or so and these quest would give 50-60k xp for completing while the raid would give 100k+ xp.

Something like this is already in the game.

There is the pirate saga in 3BC, the Gianthold saga and several saga's in Eveningstar. If you prepare all saga's before your epic reincarnation you can cash them in and be lvl 23 immedeately after reincarnation.

True, but I think what he's going for is something a bit more random... to keep things interesting and changing from life to life, even week to week. I could get behind this idea, to give some greater incentive to run quests that I havn't run in a while that are not part of a saga or dailies, and which specific quests those are change regularly.

You may well be in the ballpark on the XP ratio, comparing a 2nd run of Spies to a 2nd run of something else.

But I rather doubt that a 1st-run of something else, with full Bravery & 1st-time bonuses, is only 1/3 the XP of your repeat-run Spies. Have you actually done all the other Epic quests at least once each?

This also has the advantage of racking up favor, and Saga completions.

No, that's a comparison of a BB something else to a rerun EN spies (or any daily). But he missed it by far... it's closer to 10:1 than 3:1. Most quests BB give 1/2 a spies rerun and that BB run is gonna take a lot longer than an EN spies. Some of the longest quests that have OK exp with BB will match a spies rerun for total payout, but the xp/min is not even close.

Epic exp is really really stupidly unbalanced. There's a reason that dailies are dailies, nothing else even competes. People will do first time runs of other stuff just to do something different, but running dailies would still be faster exp. At least with BB and sagas you can run other stuff without feeling that you are totally wasting your time.

+1 I'm in favor of this. Especially if the bounties are shared, that way you get groups of people doing this weird quest or two every week.

great idea. we suggested this in the past--have weekend bonuses for lesser-run quests and raids. Not sure about the programming implementation though. Devs?
