Please stop with the BTC loot

It has annoyed me for years that the Mabar loot is BTC, but now we have even more added. So a person has to have several levels worth of stuff, all BTC. That is an inventory killer if you actually want the stuff. And especially since it is a once a year event, people have to farm it when it comes instead of just when they need it.

BTC should be only raid and exclusive stuff, like the Jibbers blade. Stop making all this other loot BTC. It's ridiculous.

This is granted to every character. We typically try to avoid making items distributed upon character creation be Bound to Account, to prevent people from rolling up character after character to get an infinite amount of a thing. In this case that wouldn't really matter, since it's awarded to every one of your characters when created, but it's still a best practice to not have Bound to Account things granted upon character creation.



It is a bad mechanic, Not a single cosmetic should be BTC from anywhere in this game.
They should retroactively make every cosmetic BTA

Including the ones added by toon creation, this way if cosmetic is lost or tossed and you want another one roll up an alt. delete./roll.. whatever.. doesnt matter you can only wear 1 and bta..
Whats the negative impact of duplicating BTA cosmetics by rolling up multiple alts? you get it with every toon anyway..
Would rather have less hassle recovering a cosmetic than going down that path of losing a BTC cosmetic and getting into tickets and GM's and whatever other support wasting everyones time.. it a cosmetic..

Should really look at the pointless BTC binding of cosmetics..
additional BTC just clutters every toon and alt toon overloading an already encumbered banking/inventory system.
BTA allows us to delete excess unneeded cosmetics and/or shift them to alts.
Its also less redundant inventory items for TR cache issues.

You want your precious stuff don't take permanent damage? Ok, pay some tax/buy special item in DDO market, bound it and accept all problems related to bound stuff ( waste inventory space, cannot trade it etc ).

Or... just use unbound stuff, trade it free any way... and have little risk of permanent damage.

How many items in RL have any bound status? Zero, I'm think? 8)

when it comes to event loot, it should be BTA like CC event loot. another option would be to make the ingredients BTA and/or unbound if it had to be BTC. with it being BTC, the only item I have any real interest this year is the ghostbane dagger for a future character that would require me roll up a new one and I don't have extra character slots to do that. that means I am not playing the event other than for the xp one time per challenge.

This pretty much sums up my feelings as well. I thought I would farm some daggers, but when I saw they were BTC, I decided to pass. It is not worth it for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the inventory issue. My main already is throwing out good BTC stuff every few TRs, I just can't justify cluttering my inventory with more BTC.

But the quests are good for the first time xp so I ran them all once. Now the event is over for me.

Yeppers, that was my thread in which I showed how much ridiculous stuff is BTC. The festival stuff with multiple levels really kills me. If it was BTA, I would be running Mabar right now. Instead, I'm debating if I actually want to take a couple hours to farm up a throwing dagger that I don't even have a toon for...so, I probably won't, because I have enough inventory tetris going on. (Instead, I can play some other content for an hour and quit out of festival lag frustration, but that's another thread.)

Collecting interesting treasure items always served as one of the foundation stones of Dungeons & Dragons. DDO offers the treasure items but the inadequate inventory system combined with problematic rules like Bound to Character make collecting a chore.

Managing inventory should not conjure thoughts of navigating between Scylla and Charybdis.

Not just festival loot but pretty much everything should be bound to account in most cases. Bound to character should be extremely rare. For example, I now have 6 permanent hirelings and only one of them is BtA, all the rest are BtC. Then there's also the BtC cosmetics too.

New character inventory management is getting to be a challenge right at character creation. It would be a lot more efficient (for me) if I could put the hirelings and cosmetics into shared bank and pull them out at the right level.

I hate BTC items. Only very rare and powerful items like Jibbers should be BTC. BTC items have become very common and make inventory issues even worse.

I don't care about d20, I come here from EVE Online ( real economic and real market system, you know...). 8P
