Hello

Is a new gaming interface part of this expansion? I mean, it's extremely dated and was great when a 1280x960 resolution was the average desktop, but we're a little past that now.

I've got a stack of screen real estate and bags I can't size more than a quarter of the screen height. Ingredient bags etc.

Surely we've all lamented over the map at least once. And that ............ "Map Notes" drop down list box. Seriously, can some programmer open the properties of that object and make the list display more than 7 items, and widen it too. Look at this .. Completed Saga Quests (WHAT?)

The interface is kind of important to keeping customers, wouldn't you agree SS?

Anyway, I'll stop there. It's an ancient, and poor piece of interfacing. All it would take is one engineer to start work on it now. Give em a year even. At the moment it looks like DDO will be 20 yrs old and people will have 8K desktops standard and tiny little icons to look at.

Now I wait for Cordovan to ban this thread too. We must not point out the failings of this game, mustn't we?

Just to have one more cry on the matter and maybe get a few laughs.

THIS is DDO.

I think that says it all for me.

Though I have to say I do feel for the business. All the kiddies just want their new content so they can say, "Oooo how good do I look."

Until this time next year when I call this post up and ask the question, "If only they employed that 1 extra engineer to work on the interface, we'd have it by now."

looking at the logo of the expansion that restarts at the 5th edition, and I hope the lost interface is updated with reference to the 5th edition ... but I do not think this is happening ... even if I hate this interface, and this has repeatedly repeated and little intuitive and confusing, chat and horrible too many hidden commands that you have to understand how to use them, in a few horrible words, needs to be updated, if SSG wants new players, it makes them feel comfortable with a simple interface intuitive with a chat that is simpler and more like a lottery.

Interfacing, interesting and well noted. Yeah this has a lot of impact, good interface can make a bad game seem better and a good game better.

The hotkey interface is great. I agree the map can use work, it is one of the most important parts of the game, maybe even the most important part of all in a MMORPG. Imagine if DDO had no map at all... wouldn't be a lot to do would there?
