May seem odd, but are there any otherkin/fictionkin from DDO out there?

*Returns from Googling the terms*
M'kay.... If some of the definitions I see are accurate, I'd worry about a group of folks who really think they were their characters in a previous life.
In the lighter version of the definitions, is that basically asking if there are any RP guilds?

I just had a hot date with Wiki as well, I thought I was up to date on these things but apparently not so much. I'm still not quite sure if I understand lol.

Personally I haven't met anyone in DDO or on the forums who is here as anything other than a game. Some of us care a lot more about the details, and some of us are more in for the fun, but I have yet to meet a person who fits any -kin status. There are quite a few RP players/guilds (let's save all the prisoners trapped by the evil Sahaguin!) but most I talk to are more at the "it's a game" and "10 prisoners for 62 XP? (http://ddowiki.com/page/Sacrifices) Ugh way too much hassle, but if you want to go for it" point.

i haven't seen seen any -kin either, i was hoping if there is anyone, they'd feel comfortable talking about it here! i know the Dungeons and Dragons community is generally kind and accepting, so i'm sure people who are kin with a character or race from the game would be accepted!

Like others, I've had to spend a little time using my Google-fu to figure out what the terms mean/what is actually being asked. If I understand correctly, I would have to say that the closest person in DDO-land that I am aware of that might fit that description would probably be Kargon. Kargon is famous (or is that notorious?) for not breaking character - ever. Someone interviewed him once (can't find the link off-hand, though - sorry) and asked "Kargon's handler" how people should refer to him (the 'handler') and he replied "Kargon".

Found the interview (http://www.gamergeoff.com/an-interview-with-kargon/) link. I should've known it was Geoff Hanna - he's almost as famous as Kargon.
Almost...

Last I seen that points in that direction is Amylee4000 (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/474116-Madstone-Skull-EE), but prob more can be found in either the Fanart section or the Roleplay section of this forum.
Also the devs are known to be Bronies, so I'm sure there is plenty of room for otherkin.
Oh, not sure if Amylee agrees with this ofc, if not sorry.

I ran into some -kin folks (I think?) in DDOs sister title; LotRO, a few years back. Waaaaaay too serious and frankly too creepy for my tastes - and I'm a card carrying liberal socialists....
I have no idea if they are still around there anymore - but back then they hung out in Bree around some of the back alleys and hidden houses/rooms all day - all the time - and seemed to never really "play" the game. There was at least 5 or 6 of them - but 2 people in particular were on quite a bit and pretty "present" in chat and extra-game activities. They claimed they were soulmates in past lives and can only be united through video game avatars... That they were their avatars and that the virtual world was reality and our prime material plane was the "game" - or something like that. I have no idea if they actually believed it or not - but they NEVER broke character.
I'll never forget the time I found out about these two - it's one of the more bizarre things that ever happened to me in a video game... I was exploring Bree and found a door in a house that you could enter that wasn't a shop, bank and tavern. I thought it was odd because there really isn't very many houses that didn't have a specific "game" function, so i had to check it out. Anyway there were multiple rooms in this house and I went back to one of them and there was these two toons, stripped down to nothing but underwear sleeping on a bed... I didn't know what to make of this at first so i just kinda stood there trying to figure out if it was a game hook or what, but after a few seconds I get a "ding" and in the /tell dialogue box was "Do you mind? I'm trying to make love to my wife" ------- I was like "oh - I'm sorry - excuuuuuseeee me" and started to shuffle off to buffalo - but they started sending me tells asking if I wanted to "group" with them...... I indicated that their RP was a bit too intimate and waaaaay too serious for me and then they explained that it wasn't RP and laid down their whole philosophy/whatever speil to me.... I didn't immediately squelch them - I was polite enough to just say no and move on - live and let live - right? But after a few weeks of their /tells and seeing what they said in public chat - I finally did. (Squelch them that is.) Of course my kinship (that's what they call guilds in LotRO) got a good laugh at both mine and this other "kins" expense, and I think they were griefed quite a bit by some of our less tolerant players, but I have to admit - in the brief time I was aware of their existence - they were thoroughly dedicated. To each other and their story - kind of romantic in a Tim Burton kind of way, really.
Hope you find what you are after.

Like everyone else. Had to look it up. 55 and hard to keep up with what people come up with these days.
If there s such a community. It has so far stayed off the Forums and off the General Chat in game. I couldn't vouch for any of the fan sites.
I do RP a little Game. I like to do a backstory. Even my alts have a back stories. And yeah, when I am playing my H/Orc Brakutir. you get the psychotic teddy bear one that dances at times. When my wife is playing her H/Orc. we sometimes dance together.
She is the Barb and does the rage thing. I am Rogue that dresses as well as the game permits. Wish the devs would come up with better options. But he does have the Green Hat. So that is a plus.
Good luck. Check out the servers. and hey, if you happen to see a H/Orc wearing a green hat and a swashbuckling outfit on Orien. Chances are it might be me. Come over and dance :)
