Hey everyone!
I have not touched this game iin quiet a long time, even before I never maxed a character nor did raids or solo much
However I plan on coming back for a while and going VIP to get all adventures ready. My only issue is getting a build setup for solo, I noticed after level 8 to about 16 not many groups. So figured I'd take my chance at soloing as much as I can and to get to endgame and at least do a raid before trying the reincarnation system.
Any tips on solo builds?
Previously I was playing a melee pure warlock with auras but I don't know how viable those are still. I'm assuming clerics and favored souls are still the best? Is there a specific fighting style that's better than the other? Twf, thf, bow, crossbow, caster
I was thinking doing Warlock again with maybe rogue for traps or pure. Or maybe a elf cleric or favored soul to do Arcane Archer as well. Maybe a simple WF Arti?
32 pt, Level 7 start, No Tomes
Thanks.

>wanting to do multiclass Roge/Warlock, with arcane archer with no tomes...
You kinda need to focus on one thing till you get tomes and some gear man.
Do rogue archer, or warlock (with maybe 2 levels of rogue splash for traps). If you have artificer, it synergyzes really well with rogue mechanic now, read up on the change notes.
Remember you need a ton of base stats for trap scores, and archery feats , and spells. ANd while you can ignore some of stat stuff for traps, if you don't have gear and tomes for it, you gonna have bad time.

No my bad.
Melee Aura Pure Lock maybe Splash of Rogue.
Pure Cleric Elf but use AA maybe a splash or Rogue.
Or a good solo build lol. But I will look into that Arti Rogue Mech now. My apologize.
I'm not sure if your aware but vip won't give you access to all content. Good luck!

There are some solid "no frills" builds in this thread: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/470423-Build-Repository?p=5759353&viewfull=1#post5759353
You have to surf them for notes re solo-ability, but they're there.

I recommend artificer for a great solo class. They have:
Ranged combat that scales well through heroics
Trap skills built in as a feature of the class
Self-healing either through potions on a fleshy or repair spells on a Warforged
A variety of beneficial spells
Easily achievable high UMD for wands/scrolls
A pet that can help with pulling levers
You can stack intelligence which well help your ranged combat, spell casting, and trapping skills (and if you take insightful reflexes, your reflex saves too). Rune arms are awesome as well. Very solo friendly and easy to play.

I enjoy Arti, I always wanted to do a fleshy one because I enjoy seeing the multiple types of armor styles compared to warforged. However is healing on fleshy Arti easy? I know warforged is a simple spell.
And I know VIP didn't give ascess to all, but it gets most haha.
