Back before Holy Sword got nerfed again and again I decided to do a Pally 14/Ranger 6 Life on one of my alts.

However I wasn't thinking when levelling up and took a 7th Ranger Level by mistake - I basically haven't touched the character since other than to take a 4th Pally Level.

So at 7 Ranger / 4 Pally and with no Lesser Heart how would you continue the character assuming it will be TRd at 20 {It's Tempest btw - Elf with Scimis}.

The original Noyellowbar (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/430998-Noyellowbar-a-100-monk-free-U19-Build-(15Ranger-4Paladin-1Fighter)) is probably your best / least bad alternative. I have an old toon using this build; still works fine, it just feels obsolete compared to pure ranger or Tempestadin.

Have you a +0 lesser on it? I'm pretty sure you could turn it into a serviceable arcane archer (when you mess up a build, just use easy buttons like ranged, right?)

If not; then you want at least level 12 ranger; this is the breaking point where a pure ranger tempest becomes powerful. You get both +1 multi from tempest and +1 threat from deepwood.

4 of your levels are already paladin; that leaves 4 levels to spend as you will.

Ranger: The only things ranger can get with those levels is an extra favored enemy (3 levels) and level 4 spells (FoM and cure critical).

Paladin: Taking 2 levels of this is pretty powerful; which grants remove disease (if you have the AP to upgrade this, it's good, if not it's not). An extra smite, A diety feat (I'm guessing you took the elf diety, so this is pretty useless), and access to the 3rd core in paladin trees (KotC sounds good, others are meh).

Or you could even think of picking up a third class:

Fighter: This grants up to 3 feats. Are these useful for you?
Monk: If you like PJ's this has some good options through low-hanging enhancements and stances.
Rogue: If you want to add trapping ability to fill out some utility to your twf. Sneak attack is decent and there are some adequate enhancements such as envenomed blades, but you might find yourself very short on AP.
Barbarian: Run faster, zerg faster, get out of this build faster. Your rage at taking an extra ranger level can give you +4 strength even if it fatigues you a little. Also improved power attack is really good if you have the feat.

Or there's always Warlock. When a build is messed up the option of pad all the other levels out with warlock will typically get you to 20 with no problems.

hes a pally so no barb.

18 core is out - but you want at least 12 if not 14 ranger for cure serious

i would say either 14/6 ranger pally for level 4 spells

or 14/4/2 ranger/pally/fighter

gets you feats some cures but less saves based on cha

OK guys thanks for the options - I'll be bookmarking this page for future reference as I level up the character.
