After logging and connecting to the server the window of the game does not open. The last change in the computer is that Windows 10 updated to Creator. I have already tried to disable the game bar, but the problem remains the same. I copy my complete dndclient.log file below. There are two errors I highlight here:

000000000.000: SimpleDiskController::InitFile failed with PDISKERR error code [-2]

000000000.000: Failed to start rendering system.

Which is your advice? Thanks.

Just in case someone has a similar problem, this is how I got the game to work. First I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled, with no result. Then I downgraded Windows 10 Creator to the previous version (no Creator). I had to reinstall the game again as the applications installed in the new version of Windows were deleted. After that the game still didnt open but there was a new message, a window telling that couldnt open the dat files. I checked the dat files and client_gamelogic.dat was hidden and its size was 1 kB. I put it as not hidden but still the game was not working (obvious without that file). Before uninstalling the reinstalling the game again, I looked up for client_gamelogic.dat. There was an old version of the file (some years ago) in the Usr directory. Copied it and then finally the game realized that file was not updated. It downloaded that file... and game working now.

I am wondering if I should upgrade my Windows 10 to Creator again. It doesnt seem that the Windows version made the game not to work, but maybe when updating some files got corrupted? Any experience with this?

Try re-installing the game to a different place (i.e. NOT under Program Files). A separate partition for Games would be ideal. The write permission thing is a clue that Win 10 does not play nicely with applications in the Program Files directories.

Good Luck!

Solved:
1) Remove the last update: https://www.howtogeek.com/235474/how-to-roll-back-builds-and-uninstall-updates-on-windows-10/
2) Optional but HIGHLY recommended: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-bmRe0VEeQ
3) Optional - don't use windows.

Before I am making beig changes in my system for this game I always try to reset the client first. Or checking out the UserPreferences.ini under Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online and try to reset the last login. As I don't think it is a windows problem.
