Here is my rogue mechanic leveling build I am planning on using for my rogue lives when I get to them. It's pretty much a cookie cutter build. I put in my planned leveling guide for my enhancements. Feel Free to Critique. In particular my leveling guide.

Int build, beeline to KtA and Strategic Combat II first (12 AP, end of Level 3). Then, once he hits Rogue 6 and gets Core 6 Targeting Sights, reset Harper Enhancements back to 8 AP for KtA only, and spend the extra 4 elsewhere.

This makes Level 4 & 5 SO much more effective.

(One can plug this in to Char Builder using "commands" option under the selection dropdown in that step, rather than choosing a Tree.)

Harper "Magical Endurance" - I rarely run out of SP due to KtA, it's long-lasting. But if saving the stop at the occasional shrine is an important QoL thing, sure. (Look at Tr 1 "Harper Enchantment" for a cheaper version w/ +1/+1 to weapon.)

(Depending on the build, OR take Harper Awareness (w/ bonus +1 ST vs. Traps), saving those points in Mech Awareness for high-tier elsewhere.)

Unless you solo exclusively (and need to kill casters first), Rapid Shot before Precise Shot (= +DPS before selective targeting).

Rog 19 - Unless you have some room to squeeze in +Wis gear, Slippery Mind before Skill Mastery. At least rather than taking it a 2nd time?

(And, me, I'd also drop Dex a bit and take Insightful Reflexes to blow that Evasion roll out of the water, putting the points into carrying capacity and/or Wis, but that's def a ymmv thing.)

Two questions:
Does Venomed Attacks work with ranged then? I'd understood it as melee, but maybe understood wrong.
Why the skill points into repair? On a human, wouldn't heal points to improve scrolled healing be more useful?

OP need 21 DEX for Combat Archery, starting at 16 means a +5 tome to get it by level 21.

Venomed Attacks do work on ranged as far as I know.

@ OP - dump the points from Repair since you are fleshy they are pointless and take as much Heal as you can to boost Cocoon also max out Wand and Scroll Mastery it will make a huge difference.

Depending on what weapons you plan to use, you may want to consider taking heavy repeater prof at lvl 3, then swap it for Rapid Shot or Precision (whichever you defer) at lvl 12 when you get the prof free from lvl 12 Mechanic core.

I would also consider either Insightful Reflexes or (after 1st TR) rogue PL feat instead of WF:Ranged.

ESP:Positive seems like a weak ED feat choice just to boost Cocoon, but presuming you still plan to do that, you might as well max out Heal skill as well for the extra Positive Spellpower. You can certainly spare the skill pts!

Unless you really love Nerve Venom, Shiradi's not the best ED for Mechanics, IMO.

The Heal skill boosts Positive Spellpower, but it has no effect on wands nor scrolls. That's what Wand & Scroll Mastery is for. :)

Splashing say 2 Artificer would fix that along with giving a free feat or two, a lever puller and rune arm imbues for some extra damage on hit. Big downside is the loss of the capstone so it's certainly a trade off.
