View Full Version : Reaper seems to have made it harder to find groups

Reaper seems to have fragmented the grouping even more and without a sufficient population it can be harder to find groups.

The problem is that reaper groups want to run at level or at level +1 (rarely level +2) and elite groups run at up to level +2.

I think one or even two servers should be closed to increase population density on the other servers.

You are right. But that would mean a server merge. That won't happen.

I agree to this and I've made a comment on a different thread but I think there are a LOT of players that don't want to do Reaper so if you put up an LFM there's a good chance it will be filled or at least a couple joined. That's what I do and I usually (90%) have someone (or more) join without any issues.

So, to summarize. Put up and LFM yourself and they will come!... probably.

in ny experience (thelanis) lfm population went from pretty low, sometimes 0, to lots

ofc, finding a lfm for the quest i want, with the lvl range i want, is something hard, but i joined everything i saw (being me the underlvl toon) and every lfm i posted got takers (prolly cause my lvl range was wider since being HE BB)

from my pov, the reaper revitalized lfm, but would be happy with a server merge, too

Yeah groups tend to seem a little more limited these days on the LFG listings. I play of G-Land and noticed that after reaper came out, about 2 weeks in LFM's greatly reduced. I post my own quite a bit, for reaper and non-reaper parties. Even then do not get a lot of bites from other looking to run with me. However, many players tend to run static reaper groups from what I can tell and some of the larger guilds on G-Land are also running guild reaper parties too.

However, I think that I am also seen as a **** or incompetent by some players and have received a little hate and negativity too, but it is just a game. Keep calm and carry on, if you are having fun great. If not think about what you can do to restore the fun to your game play. Personally the game has become a bit more fun for me personally due to the racial reincarnation and reaper difficulty. I have also seen a number of players return to G-Land because of the reaper difficulty too.

As for server merges, this is something that may of been reviewed by SSG. However without us knowing the exact populations and the tech they are running for servers it is hard to say if a server merge (even a minor one) might not cause more issues like lag and such. Unless there is an official word from SSG or the Player's Council who have spoken to SSG about this we shall never know and have to go with not anytime soon if ever will this happen.

The game needs a server merge really bad but I have absolutely no faith in technical capabilities of SSG.

I feel like I remember Cordovan saying in one of his streams that a server merge is a thing that will never happen, due to technical reasons.

A server merge may not be possible... but giving away free character transfer tokens so we could move to other servers is possible.. since they do it now..
