Hey guys, I just realized that the cannith challenges gear got revamped. It was great. Tho there is a problem (for me). I got some old cannith challenges gear, is there a way for me to upgrade the old stuff to become new one? Or is that a no-no?
If there is a way please let me know. I don't have a mats to get new one and I don't even run cannith challenges anymore (due to laziness):D.
Thanks in advance for the help.
P/S: Sorry for my bad English.

I have a lot of old cannith crafted gear as well, but I don't think it can be upgraded. Not too hard to re-farm the matts though.

I'm sorry to say that no there is not any way to upgrade your old ones to the new ones, you will re-make them from scratch.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I have to re-farm the mats since the new cannith challenge gear are pretty nice. Thanks guys.

On the plus side, you only need to remake them once for your account.

Incorrect.
All low-lvl stuff can be upgraded to more high-lvl stuff with new parameters. Only Epic stuff cannot be re-upgraded. Personally, last time I upgrade old ML16 Frozen tunic to new ML20 Epic Frozen Tunic.

I thought old Tier1 and Tier2 Epic items could be upgraded to the new versions
and that it was only players with T3 items who were SOL?

Ulfo speaks of going up to a new ML classification. I tried to upgrade an old stalker ring up two tiers (ML 15 or 16 whatever) & it did not take the new values. Maybe just my bad luck...
OP the good news is tier 1 is quite good as is in the new loot and some stuff has no point in switching to the new versions, eg a monk using frozen tunic

You can upgrade old item to new item (new ML)
Example old ML12 -> new ML16
And for new items, the only difference between Tier1 and Tier3 are augment slots

Is that right? I think spellpower and lore increase. i.e. Blasting Chime at L20 goes
from 16/110 to 18/122 (sonic lore/resonance) when upgraded to T3.

Actually Tier 2, despite not showing it on the crafting menus, does offer upgrades (I have no info about what happens when upgrading old version Tier1 to new version Tier2 though).
Since the wiki page is also not up to date yet, there is currently, I believe, no way to know what kind of upgrades Tier 2 offers other than asking people who've tried it already.
Myself I only have one example to date; L12 Tier2 Mournlode Fullplate (http://i.imgur.com/q112aOQ.jpg)

In case the pic dies: Enhancement, Protection and Resistance grow by 1 (3, 5 and 5 to 4, 6 and 6).

They could have also updated Eveningstar Challenge loot.
But, I guess that Eveningstar challenges could use a few new ones so it could be a part of some future update.

The spellpower accessories are really nice for heroic. AFAIK they're the best spellpower/lore for their levels, and they free up your hands to carry a shield and/or heal scroll instead of two caster sticks.
