Will there be a discount promotion and/or free gift for Pre-Ordering Revenloft, and if so might we get a little insite bonus on the gift if there is one or when we might be able to see news in this area? (even if its just a yes there will be and no other details is fine!)

This...I remember they offered a pre-order special pack with MOTU that came with some nice goodies. I'm hoping for something similar for Ravenloft.

Hmm, if Ravenloft is coming, I need to get way better at dealing with undead.
Any save me from the undead and other horrors tips for a cowardly rogue?

Reroll into Warlock :)Alternately as a rogue make sure you have a Holy/Good weapon set, Disrupting or Ghostbane if possible are solid adds as well./
I am more concerned with the ability to actually GET the expansion given the problems some seem to be having with the store and it giving out bad codes if I am being honest.

A Blackbone Skeleton hireling would be pretty neat to have.
Maybe as a L10 or L20 hireling?
Maybe a cosmetic armor and mask that makes you look like Skeletor.
:p

Many people will overlook the potential goodness of the Mournlode weapons and armor from the Cannith Challenges, but I say they are worth looking into.
The weapons come in levels 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 versions (and all but the level 4 version have 3 tiers of power). They can be shortswords, longswords, greataces, light maces, warhammers, and mauls. They also come with the following: Righeious (good aligned and bonus to hit evil), Undead Bane (+Xd10 vs undead), Incandescence < Brilliance (bonus light damage), and potentially Blinding Flash and Radiant Blast (chance for a burst of massive light damage, dealing double damage to undead before light vulnerability) and Augment slots.
The armors come in the same levels and tiers. They can be chain shirts (light), docents, breast plates (medium) or full plates (heavy). They include the following: Protection +3~+8, Resistance +3~+8, Undead Guard (xd8), permanent Protection from Evil, Augment slots, levels 16 and 20 gain a "special quality" bonus, and level 20 also can gain +32% negative energy absorption. The special quality is different for the different armor types, but for a rogue, you'll most likely be wearing light, which grants "weaken undead", making all your attacks reduce undead fortification by 20%.
Get ghost touch from some other source for those pesky incorporeal types, and a way to cast Death Ward on yourself to prevent level draining.
...of course, I also hear it will be heroic level 10 (so the Mournlode stuff may only be good for running elite) and epic level 30 (which is significantly higher than the 'epic' mournlode stuff can get to sadly)

I agree; I'd love to know. I don't even really care that much about the specials, but if they do happen, I want them so I know where all my money is going this summer. Intern life.

Proper roguish tactic = hide behind something, preferably a mobile meat shield. :)
On topic: Yep, make this so. I have room on my gaming credit card that's burning a hole in my... well, into my desktop. :o

Standard pack gets you a access to quests.
Collector Edition gets your Blackbone Skeleton Hireling and cosmetics and DDO points..
Legendary Upgrade (must be purchased at same time as Ravenloft) gets each toon Racial Tomes +2 (that's +2 into Racial AP) and DDO points and other misc stuff. Maybe throw in a Travellers Trunk.

I have mixed thoughts on pre-order specials I one hand I would like to have the extra stuff but at the same time I think it is smarter to see the product first and then decide. If it is slated for fall release I will just wait for the usual holiday/black Friday discount personally.

I think you are referring to the normal update this summer with the Stonelands, which, I think you are correct, is just a regular update with 3 quests.
I was referring to Ravenloft, which is supposed to be an expansion. That suggests there could be a pre-order 2-3 months ahead of the target release date of this fall. That would suggest the pre-orders would be available in the summer.

2-3 months ahead seems very optimistic. Either way, got it, thanks.

Pie in the sky would be a Cleric/FvS healing hireling with an AI that actually worked worth a **** and didn't go into herpa derp mode after 10 minutes in a mission.

Any save me from the undead and other horrors tips for a cowardly rogue?
Splash cleric and follow the deity that uses qstaffs, go thief acrobat rogue and put any excess enhancements toward turn undead. could also do the same thing but splash pally instead. i do this build often and its fun and good against undead (bludgeoning from regular quarterstaffs and im positive that the chieftans spear does slash dmg). plus i can be both trapper and healer cx
i did okay with undead in my assassin rogue life but only because i kept a set of khopeshes handy for zombies. i was sh!!t against skeles.

That's pretty good advice. I feel pretty cowardly versus undead on my rogue too. Without snk atk dmg we just don't pack the same wallop. Also for upper level (16+) undead a mechanic rogue can use the Silver Slinger and any other rogue could use the Mournlode Chain for Weaken Undead. Hopefully something in Ravenloft will drop with the Weaken Undead effect for lower level rogues.

Tome of greater Reaper XP, Choice of ingredient packs, hireling, and bonus DDO Points.
Not at all interested in cosmetics unless they give a bonus like the MOTU mask did.

U36 (now new Underdark drow vs. dwarf war instead of Stonelands with 5 quests) should hit Lama this week. Previously for an expansion some of the pre-order goodies actually go into the update (or update patch) before the expansion so you get them once your preorder is completed. Cosmetics, special hirelings, and such. So some of those "could" be going in soon (or in one of the U36 patches).
Random things that could go into the Ravenloft preorder
dracolich cosmetic wings (because I'm never going to hit 3 ka-trillion reaper XP and those wings are only 'eh')
Lord Soth flavored lich companion (Dragonlance fully required the human RP element so I wouldn't really want quests in DDO, but a callback to Dragonlance's bestamest undead would be excellent).
Wraith hireling like the Owlbear/Cats. Vampire hireling too cliche, unless you make him talk like the Parrot companion - though dark brooding lines as read by Stephen Frye (http://www.hammacher.com/product/76635).
epic warforged sorc hireling (I sort of just snuck that into here - not sure why we have so few warforged wiz/sorc hirelings in game).
Cosmetic helm and armor of some sort... don't have a particular look that's needed. Maybe something bone piercings and something deadly sexy. Hmmm... I guess that is slightly particular. Or cosmetic capes (not guaranteed to work (not to clip) with all armor/body types).
Reaper XP Tome
Confirmation of Ian McKellen OR Patrick Stewart OR Gary Oldman are doing the voice over for Ravenloft.

Order now and get 25% more bugs free!
No way man, reading about the "success" of people applying keys from the previous expansion it's more like
"Order now and we guarantee that you will not receive any new bugs at all!" Then again you won't receive any new working content either, they just gonna keep your cash!
Seriously they need this issue LONG fixed before I even consider ordering an active expansion much less "pre-ordering" anything. If I can't buy it in the DDO store I am not going to trust that I can buy it, it's that simple.

How about a cleric hireling with both Heal and Harm spells so pale masters can finally have a hireling that heals them?

Except, there would be a glitch somewhere, causing the hireling to misinterpret, and either cast Harm on warforged characters, or heals on palemasters, and actually succeed on those spells going through. And, it would probably take a month or two to get sorted (at least)

Soth's palm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
[kneels]
I love the smell of Soth's palm in the morning. You know, one time we had a tomb sealed with everlasting wizard fire, for 12 years - full of liches. When it was all over, I walked up. We only found one of 'em, just one stinkin' hate-wrapped, toasted, love-lost Soth. The smell, you know that burnt-lich smell, the whole tomb. Smelled like
[sniffing, pondering]
misery.

Honestly I believe that bug has something to do with folks buying part of the expansion (say an iconic, or harper tree), then going back and buying the whole thing.
