Imagine you're setting out to get 7 IPLs: 1 Bladeforged, and 3 each of PDK and Sun Elf.

And imagine, simultaneously, you want to get some class PLs: 2 Warlock, 2 Rogue, 2 Ranger, and 1 Bard.

You don't want to use any +1 Hearts, so the 1 associated Iconic class level stays in.

How do you suggest one mix-and-match those classes with those races, and with what sort of builds, for straight-forward 15-30-and-TR journeys?

Won't be be played at cap, doesn't need to do high-skull Reaper. Has access to any needed Cannith-crafted gear, but won't spend much time farming for any named/Slaver's/GS/etc. gear.

PDK - 2 Fighter, 9 Druid, 9 Bard (fight in Wolf form).

2 Fighter, 9 Druid, 9 Rogue (same as above).

2 Fighter, 9 Druid, 9 Rogue OR Ranger (same as above)

Obviously that could get a little boring depending on how you like to play but it works.

BF - 12 Ranger, 6 Monk, 2 Pally (Monkcher, I prefer 12 Monk, 6 Ranger, 2 Pally for this but you are after a Ranger PL :P).

Beyond that I have no idea since Morninglord locks you in with a Cleric level which is PITA.

I actually did a Sun Elf as 2 cleric and 18 Warlock- first lifer. The cleric was nice at the lower levels because it gave you a small amount of healing to be self sufficient until the warlock really kicks it in high gear.

Having said that warlock would probably work ok with the Bladeforge as well as you really don't care about wis or dex.

You could probably do an int based rogue with a Sun elf.

Bladeforgered Sorc (prefer elector spec)
PDK Bard (rem to be neutral)
PDK warlock (prefer fey)
Sun Elf warlock (prefer feind)

Those are what I would do, but up to you. More than likely I would do Ranger as a Sun Elf. Rouge can be done, but would rather play Shador or just 1-20.

We are lacking info like experience, play style and other list of past lives. Do you prefer melee or ranged? How long are you planning on doing this in? Are you going to run in a group or mostly solo? What difficulty are you expecting to play at? Do you like to disable traps or avoid them? Do you currently have any super named gear or equipment sets that you want to make use of? IMO you would want to try and maximize your PL benefits so with that in mind PDK will be most useful past lifes to use with your other builds (PPR and Sprint/Save boost). Also if you want to do ranged get your ranger past lives in asap.

So I would do
Life 1 PDK Ranger Wolf Build (SOLO will eat up Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower) ; search for DPS wolf builds 2 FTR/9 Druid/ 9 Ranger is a beast
Life 2 if you liked the wolf do it again PDK Ranger Wolf Build
Life 2 Alternate if you didn't like the wolf go PDK 2 Fighter 18 Ranger : Arcane Archer build or Tempest Ranger (SOLO should do ok on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do ok in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 3 PDK Bard (4 Fight/2 Rouge/14 Bard) Dex based swashbuckler (SOLO should do good on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 4 If you like ranged do a Blade Forged Mechanic Build (3+ Paladin, X Ranger or X Fighter or X Arti and Rest Rouge) (SOLO should do good on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 4 Alternate If you liked the swashbuckler a Sunelf Dex Swash Build (1+ Cleric, 6+ Bard and Rest Rouge) (SOLO should do ok on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do ok in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 5 If you like ranged do a Sun Elf Ranged Build (1+ Cleric, X Ranger or X Fighter or X Arti and Rest Rouge) (SOLO should do ok on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 5 Alternate If you liked the swashbuckler do yet another Sunelf Dex Swash Build (1+ Cleric, 6+ Bard and Rest Rouge) (SOLO should do good on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 6 Sunelf (1 or 2 Cleric, Rest Warlock) (SOLO should do great on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do great in Heroic R1 or lower)
Life 7 Sunelf (1 or 2 Cleric, Rest Warlock) (SOLO should do great on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do great in Heroic R1 or lower)
Alternate Life 7 if you haven't done your bladeforged yet Blade Forged (3 or 4 Paladin, Rest Warlock) (SOLO should do great on Epic Hard or lower quests and should do great in Heroic R1 or lower)

If you are going ranged I would try to get a good ranged T1 Thunderforged Box or X-Bow or Heavy x-Bow and use it as soon as you can in epics
If you are melee I would try to get a good ranged T1 Thunderforged hand axe and use it as soon as you can in epics

Have fun and enjoy your journey.

Suggestion:

Bladeforged - 2 Paladin/18 Rogue - A little healing and a boost to saves
PDK - 8 Fighter/12 Ranger - Your Pick TWF or Ranged
PDK - 8 Fighter/12 Rogue - Your Pick TWF/SWF or Mechanic with Repeater
PDK - 2 Fighter/18 Bard - Swashbuckler/Warchanter
Sun Elf - 1 Cleric/19 Warlock or 2 Cleric/18 Warlock
Sun Elf - 6 Cleric/14 Ranger
Sun Elf - See Cleric/Warlock suggestion

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far.

PDK - 2 Fighter, 9 Druid, 9 Bard (fight in Wolf form).
...
Obviously that could get a little boring depending on how you like to play but it works.

I appreciate the thought, but I think I'll pass on that approach.

BF - 12 Ranger, 6 Monk, 2 Pally (Monkcher, I prefer 12 Monk, 6 Ranger, 2 Pally for this but you are after a Ranger PL :P).

OK, I understand the Monkcher concept, but I'm not sure I see why you'd want to connect it to Bladeforged in particular. Doesn't the Dex penalty hurt? And there's no real synergy for Charisma. What am I missing?

Ah, yes, Int bonuses on SE are nice. Good call.

Bladeforgered Sorc (prefer elector spec)

Rouge can be done, but would rather play Shador or just 1-20.

Um...not very helpful, since neither Sorc nor SDK are going to be done as part of this project.

PDK Bard (rem to be neutral)
PDK warlock (prefer fey)
Sun Elf warlock (prefer feind)

Do you really need all that to suggest synergies bewteen particular classes and particular Iconic races?

Do you prefer melee or ranged? How long are you planning on doing this in? Are you going to run in a group or mostly solo? What difficulty are you expecting to play at? Do you like to disable traps or avoid them? Do you currently have any super named gear or equipment sets that you want to make use of?

I've played all styles in the past, and more caster-primary/healer-secondary Cleric than anything else. More recently, I've spent quite a while as a melee Assassin Rogue.

I have no specific time frame. I don't want to make this way harder or take way longer than needed, but I'm also not concerned about ultra-zerging.

I don't have a static group. I solo when needed, but prefer to group, which usually means pugging.

Will probably play mostly low-skull Reaper in Heroic, sometimes Elite, and mostly Elite in Epic, sometimes Reaper or Hard, all depending on quest, group, et cetera.

I'm happy to do traps on a Rogue/Arti, but I don't feel a need to include it in every build.

No super-gear. I don't expect to use anything specific; I'm happy to craft up a few appropriate Cannith items as needed.

Life 1 PDK Ranger Wolf Build (SOLO will eat up Epic Hard or lower quests and should do good in Heroic R1 or lower) ; search for DPS wolf builds 2 FTR/9 Druid/ 9 Ranger is a beast

Good call. No way I would grind for a T3 TF, but I probaby have plenty of spare ingredients lying around for any T0, T1, or T2 I want.

Have fun and enjoy your journey.

Thanks!

Sun Elf - 1 Cleric/19 Warlock or 2 Cleric/18 Warlock
Sun Elf - 6 Cleric/14 Ranger
Sun Elf - See Cleric/Warlock suggestion

OK, thanks for options.

So...thinking further, and based on the feedback from you all, I'm leaning towards (not necessarily in this order):

Sun Elf Rogue x2 (Int-based Mechanic)
PDK Bard (melee...18/2 most likely...haven't decided whether more WC or SB)
Sun Elf Warlock

And for the other 3, I'm thinking:

BF Warlock
PDK Ranger x2

Further comments or suggestions welcome.

Ignore Charisma entirely, 2 Pally is there for just the bonus to saves which is easily gotten, as for the Dex penalty no not really. You get DEX to to-hit and damage from the Ninja Spy cores and with all level ups in to Dex you will be fine.

Obviously bear in mind I did this on a 12 Monk, 6 Ranger, 2 Pally split so that will be different from doing it this way

if gonna do morninglord warlock do 1 wiz 1 clr 18 warlock

1 wiz gets u one extra metamagic feat, and if you go hurler the starter gear can be helpful (sad thing it comes with a heavy armor instead of medium)

also pdk bard with shortsword if going swf(mainly swash) or greatswords if going thf(mainly warchanter) kicks asses

Fighter levels with bard help you to get the huge amount of super useful feats required to make the whole thing work quite well. You want the cleaves, the single weapon and shield mastery feats and empower healing and likely quicken, though I rarely have a hard time getting a jump heal off so I don't value quicken as much as some other people.
