View Full Version : subscription didn't auto renew, and on account page no option for upgrading account!

Well the story starts like this.

After a long day at work, on a rainy, chilly day. I get home and decide it is time for some leveling of my barbarian.

I being a VIP for as long as it was introduced log in. And behold my account is premium only? what happened I pondered.

I log into the account page and figure maybe something got borked. I look around and see that I do not even have the option to upgrade my account? Odd.

I submitted my ticket just a bit ago. but hopefully they will get back to me. I do love this game and enjoy being a VIP. been playing since it came out.

Maybe I just rolled a one is all on my account roll. /shrug.

but to others that have this problem post away so they know it's not just one account.

My work around was to log into game. select characters. then went to store option in main menu.
upgraded account back to VIP. but also noticed I got ssg points added before I went back to VIP.


I don't like that the account page didn't have an option from launcher that would allow me to upgrade.
i don't like that the store opens up in a separate browser window at the moment.
I really didn't like that I had to jump thru a couple of hoops to get my account back to VIP recurring active, even though I had it already set up on recurring.

Very odd to me.

But I can't even go to the store. I click on the link to go to the store to buy VIP again, and it opens in Chrome and I just get a blank screen that loads for a sec then does nothing.

Try changing your default browser to something other than Chrome to see if you can bring up the store. You can always change it back when the transaction is done.

Edit: just noticed that the store is down today for repairs. If your access has been for some time the above might work.

Same issue here - VIP since DDO started and tried to login today only to be told I'm now Premium. I suspect there's been an issue in account handover between Turbine and SSG but TBH I'm more concerned by the fact that I wasn't notified of any issues and given a chance to rectify any problems (if it was a card expiry thing) before rescinding VIP status. I'm loathe to go in and 'fiddle' in case I lose something, here's hoping for some prompt CS response

Your first & fastest to-do is to go in and "fiddle" with things checking that your card hasn't expired. This is the most common issue when accounts don't renew. You won't lose anything by checking your info.

[Access the Store from in-game, go into Manage Account and find your payment info there, update if necessary. You may then need to resub, selecting your VIP renewal time again. (Monthly, 3-month, 12-month, etc)]

If you find no issues there, then it'll be time to fill out a ticket thru SSG support if you haven't already. They probably won't see your issue from this forum post, and will ask you to submit a ticket anyway so they have your account info.
