Hello
When i click on account->races and classes i get this error:
Something is going wrong
Technical error has occurred. Please try again later.
Is anybody else experiencing this?
Also when i tr'ed i was not able to click buy on dragonborn. It said i had to be premium. I thought i was premium. I have bought the other races.

Something was wrong with the store. Was in a group last night and someone asked if we were having issues with buying dragonborne as well. Everyone in our group tried to get into the races and classes category in the store and we all got the same technical issues error.

This shows just how good Dragonborn are since they can't be bought {tongue-in-cheek}

ok I thought that I was getting that error due to my browser. but yeah, I am getting the same error trying to purchase the dragonborn race - either accessing the Account/Races & Classes section in the ddo store, doing a search for "dragonborn" or accessing New to the DDO store gives that error message.
I am hoping that this is not an issue due to ddo store opening in an external browser.

If you have no more character slots you won't be able to buy dragonborn.

I do have available free character slots (although I am not sure why that would prevent anyone from buying/unlocking a race in ddo), and after today's patch, I am still unable to purchase dragonborn in the ddo store launching in an external browser.
I am a premium account player, and I have tried changing the default browser to both Google Chrome (latest update v57.0.2987.133) and Internet Explorer 11 (11.0.9600.18618).
I was wondering whether anyone has found a workaround to purchase dragonborn?
If people have been unable to buy the dragonborn race for a week, I feel that DDO would have noticed this, but there seems to be no acknowledgement/announcement from DDO's side, so this might be something that is related to my computer.

Can you tell me more about how you are trying to make the purchase, and what specific error you are getting? We've just now checked all of the store settings for Dragonborn and races in general and everything appears to be correct.

I know you did not ask me specifically but i'll answer your question anyway. I do not have a free character slot anymore but the error is the same. I press ctrl+s and open the ddo store in google chrome. I click account->races and classes and then i get an error message: Something is going wrong Technical error has occurred. Please try again later.
I hope this is enough info and thx for a great game.

I'm also experiencing this error, Cordovan. Ticket #6204 has about as much detail as I can provide about this.
Here is a screenshot of the error. The link shown in the screenshot still leads to turbine support, so it no longer works.

Thank you very much for the further info. We are continuing to look into it. We're not yet able to find a consistent repro that will help us figure out what's going on. We have been able to reproduce this by clicking the browser's forward and backward buttons a bunch, but that's clearly not what you two are doing, so ???

Try this as a workaround. Go to the "Buy account upgrades" link on the character selection screen and open the external store from this screen and not from in-game on a character.

This worked! Yay :) I can now buy dragonborn. Can others also get it to work this way?

wow, this is exactly what I was looking for, not sure why I did not think to try accessing the ddo store from the character selection screen.

Yes, I had the same problem with both Gnome and Dragonborn and this worked for me when I was trying to find a way to bypass the in-game store on a character to see if they were purchasable. I imagine it should work with any race or possibly even a class purchase also that is "blocked" by the store for whatever reason when opening the store in-game off of a character. I ended up buying bank space instead while it was on-sale but if it's not fixed by the time I do get enough points for the Gnome and Dragonborn races at least I will be able to do so this way.

This sounds like the purchase is being blocked by some aspect of the particular character that is logged in,
since the store filters based on character. When accessing from the character selection screen, a different
set of filters is in place (account-level only).
It might help the debug process if the folks that were having this problem post the character race and
class split of those characters.

Glad to hear about the workaround above.
On the other hand, after testing on several of my characters it seems like the store is broken in this way for all of them.
Also, apparently, for those of us it's been broken for, it's been broken since the introduction of Dragonborn, so while it could be a browser issue I don't think it's related to the external browser specifically (Awesomium is based on Chrome - or more likely Chromium - itself).

Thanks for this, as the purchase races and classes section of the store is still broken.

It seems like they fixed it now. I am now able to log in with my character and open the store and search for dragonborn without problems...
