Hello, I havn't played in awhile and was wondering how fire savants measure up in the current epic level content. I have a pretty good stash of gear built up and I've always played Air as my primary focus, but really want to try something different. So here is my list of questions:
1. Is air still the superior element in most scenarios?
2. Can fire or cold as my primary focus be comparable in most situations?
3. Is it possible to attain dc's in necro to be able to take out mobs with lower fort saves in Elites in current epics without large feat investment?
Thank you all in advance and have a great day/evening.

I haven't taken a sorcie up to cap, so re 1, I could parrot what I've read, but simply quoting is pro'ly better..
...Which Savants? I still think Air+Fire is the best combo for most content...key word being "most," though. For fighting devils, Water or Earth is usually better; so if you're focused on current endgame, you'll want one or both of those. Earth is a bit of a PITA, though, since its spells are mostly Conjuration while the other Savants are Evocation; so pairing it with a secondary Savant means splitting your DC focus...
This is from the thread on new-player-friendly sorcie build, and goes on to give examples of both DPS vs. DC builds/feats, which might help answer #3.

For 1&2 it really depends on what level you are & what content you run. I find I end up switching a bit as I level a sorc from one to another savant type depending on what I am running. I try to plan that out a bit so I don't have to change more than about 4/5 times before level 20.

Thanks for the link C-Dog answered a good number of questions I had.
When it came down to choosing the primary element I was mainly looking at level 20+. Mainly running through Epic Reincarnations and doing some slave lords stuff. Possibly also running some lower level reaper things, still level 20+ quests but reaper 1-3.
Edit: I'm sorry I should have specified I'm not sure what current endgame is so i'm not sure if the link previously posted is still relevant when it mentions devils etc.

Heroic end-game is still 20.
If you've purchased (with cash, not DDO pts) Epic content, then it's as high as Char Lvl 30. This is what maybe 98% of current "end game" refers to, depending on context.

Ah right sorry, I meant epics. After doing a fair amount of digging around not only the forum but other sources the amount of information is staggering. All these different takes on Shiradi spamming, Pure nuking draconic, Exalted angel, and deep splashing it looks like I have a lot to sift through to actually find whats good for me.
I really do appreciate the thread you posted and will probably refer to it throughout narrowing down what I want in the end.
Best of luck out there,
Anniyon
