Elf 12/6/2 Monk/Ranger/Fighter
Never played a thrower build before. Should be a fun change of pace.
This is for racial TRing a few times, and playing reaper 1-3 while leveling, so I'm not looking for a max at 30 build. I want something that will be good enough to handle the low reaper at all levels (even 20-30, since I'll probably go all the way to 30 to get an extra epic TR past-life)
Using the Elf dragonmarks for displacement until I get my Shroud displacement clickies at 12.
Should I get 6 ranger levels quickly for Manyshot, (and possibly Extend for those dragonmark displacements)? Or get 6 levels of monk first to get Shadow Veil (25% incorporeal) and 10k stars?
Maybe I should save 2 ranger levels for 19 and 20, so I can get 12 monk at 18, and then Grandmaster of Forms at 18 instead of 24.
Should I bother with Dodge, Mobility, and Shot on the Run? Any other feats you would suggest instead?
1 Ranger - Dragonmark (Replace later with Precision) - (Grants Bow Strength)
2 Fighter - Quick Draw

13 Ranger - (Grants Manyshot, ITWF)
14 Fighter - Improved Precise Shot
15 Monk - Master of Forms (switch to IC: Ranged before you hit level 20, and get Master of Forms for free

30 - Epic Reflexes, Scion of the Plane of Air

Halfling 15/3/2 Ranger/Monk/Fighter
The goal here is to build a character that can be a decent melee AND thrower without having to be centered all the time. If I was building a new character, I'd probably make a centered 14/6 Ranger/Monk or 14/6 Monk/Ranger. Those definitely would be stronger ranged characters. But since I don't want to be centered, I don't need 6 monk levels for Ten Thousand stars, just 3 for the Advanced Ninja Training enhancement.
This character has good leather armor, and lots of raid-crafted rapiers that I want to be able to use. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, a fighter kensai build is the only way to remain centered and use rapiers? And of course, that means my Tier Five enhancements will be locked up in Kensai.
I'd rather use Deepwood Sniper or Tempest Tier V enhancements. DWS for the ranged enhancements. Tempest and Dance of Death if I want to focus on melee fighting.
My favorite part about this build is that I can easily switch playstyles with just an enhancement reset.
15 ranger levels for Freedom of Movement spell, 4 favored enemies, most of the ranged feats and TWF for free. Access to Arcane Archer tree.
3 monk levels for Advanced Ninja Training (2 core enhancement) for the extra shuriken chance based on DEX
2 artificer for trap ability and rune-arms with shuriken
This build has a TON of feats.
1 Artificer - Dragonmark (Replace later with Precision) - (Grants repeating crossbow proficiency, and Rapid Reload)
2 Ranger - (Grants Bow Strength)
3 Ranger - Maximize - (Grants TWF and Rapid Shot)
4 Monk - Weapon Finesse
5 Ranger - (Grants Diehard)
6 Ranger - (Grants Precise Shot), Quick Draw
7 Ranger -
8 Ranger - (Grants Manyshot, ITWF)
9 Monk - Shuriken Expertise, Dodge
10 Monk - IC: Thrown
11 Artificer - (Grants Rune-Arm use)
12 Ranger - IC: Pierce
13 Ranger -
14 Ranger -
15 Ranger - Mobility (??)
16 Ranger - (Grants GTWF, Improved Precise Shot)
17 Ranger
18 Ranger - Spring Attack (??) - Maybe Empower Healing instead
19 Ranger
20 Ranger
21 - Overwhelming Critical
24 - ??
26 - Perfect Two Weapon Fighting
27 - Blinding Speed
28 - Doubleshot
29 - Embodiment of Law
30 - Epic Reflexes, Scion of the Plane of Air
Enhancements are VERY tight.
Ranged mode:
