skaldic rage bugged?

I'm not seeing the strength increase or AC decrease on the character sheet when I activate it. Of course this is my first bard so I may be doing something wrong. I have enough perform ranks. Any ideas? Thank you.

1) are you in a defensive stance perhaps, such as one from Fighter Stalwart Defender enhancements? defensive stances block many rages
2) are you in a barbarian rage already? skaldic rage should not stack with those.

Are you in a barbarian rage already? skaldic rage should not stack with those.

As of last year (when I tested it last) the rages do stack, offering hilarious power in heroics. If you read very carefully, that might even be WAI - Barbarian Rage (http://ddowiki.com/page/Rage_(barbarian)) gives an untyped bonus ("+4 bonus") while the Rage Spell (http://ddowiki.com/page/Rage_(spell)) gives morale ("+2 morale bonus") and Skaldic Rage (http://ddowiki.com/page/Warchanter_enhancements#Core) gives a rage bonus ("+4 rage bonus").

Skaldic is the only one listed as a "Rage" bonus.
I haven't tested Skaldic Rage and the Rage Spell, but I'd assume that they would stack as well.

If so, at level 2 you can have all three (Rage Spell from a potion/clicky) and Power Rage 3 (+3 Str while raging), for 33 Str before items on a HOrc. If there are any ML0-2 Reaper hats dropping you could hit 37 (I don't have/know enough about other random bonuses you could fit in except Rams, but that requires druid at lvl 3).

HOrc for str costs you Cha, so 16+2item +2 reaper is a 5 bonus for 2AP. 1 for Skaldic Rage, and 7 for Power Rage 3 leaving you with 2AP for 20 base +10 rage +4 item +3 power rage +5 Divine Might = 42.

Or swap to Human, for 18 base but you get +6 from DM, and you can drop to Power Rage 2 for leftover 4 AP which you drop into Human Action Boost Str 3. 18 +10 rage +4 item +2 PR +6 DM +3 Action Boost = 43. +1 tome kicks in at lvl 3, and completionist for 46 str possible max at level 3? Cleric/FVS1 Barbarian 1 Bard 1.

It wasn't and it doesn't work anymore; they bug-fixed it a while back which cheesed off my bardbarian builds. :mad:

I thought that was the case - now my 4 bard/2 barbarian/1 cleric AA is less effective - not sure how to fix her. I guess barbarian helps with movement speed though. Just need to level to 20 and get out of the borked build.

Honestly I went into a Bardarian for the self-healing (I hate being dependent on UMD and consumables) and pre-combat buffs. +4 str was just a bonus to me.

Barbarian helps for movespeed, sprint boost, and Blood Tribute which is basically Shining Through without a 30s cooldown. Just sayin'.
