View Full Version : Continuous self raise

Hello everyone,
I have been away from the game for a while so this might be kinda noob question. I have joined a pug today running reaper 6 Multitude of Menace and we wiped a few times. However there was a warlock in exalted angel who kept raising himself again and again and again. He always raised with 1 hp and zero sp. I tried looking on wiki and found only some self raises used once per rest or the one in EA that needs to be recharged and has a cooldown. So what is it?
Thanks.

Probably some sort of cake from dice rolls at a rough guess.

I thought the cakes always give some extra hp and sp upon raise. It also bypassed the death timer if it helps.

I would guess he released and reentered but I don't think you can do that on reaper....

Probably a bug of some kind where he was able to hit 'release' but instead of sending him to his bind point, it just sent him back to the dungeon where he died. We had a party glitch a few days ago where one guy could not be killed. He was flat out immortal. He couldn't attack either but he was able to pick things up, open doors, etc...
To my knowledge there is no raise spell that brings you back at 1 hp. Pact, sib cakes, animate ally, etc....everything is at the very least 50% hp.

He actually did it in two quests...didn't seem like some one time glitch.

He was using the "I'm a Dev checking out how people like the game clicky" Just kidding, not sure what he could be using that would do that.

Then I would imagine he's figured out how to repeat it and just doesn't care if anyone sees him do it. Bug report it and move on I suppose.

Could be Jibber blade or Divine Intervention enhancement from war priest tree. If there was a war priest in the group then he could have cast it on the warlock.
Probably jibber blade.

Blade of Jack Jibbers is once per rest. As per the title and the OP, this was a continuous raise.

Cordovan did say that Reaper plays by its own rules. :)

I have no idea what he's doing. It's the worst exploit ever because you are so useless with the death penalties and no sp.

It sounds like a Reaper debuff: "Eternal Brink of Death—Death is too easy for you. I shall make you suffer." :)

hmmm. interesting.
I remember that I had this experience myself but I do not remember the particulars (what character/class I happened to be on and which particular epic destiny) - I feel like I was a bard at the time and/or possibly in the fatesinger? Something happened where I glitched out, and I "died" but it kept bringing me back to life. I was stuck at death's door. So I was in a position where I just kept getting back up over and over, until I finally died.
The weird thing is that I feel like I kept seeing the "You have died." message but then the screen would go from b/w to color for a second and then back.
...
PMThundergo - are you sure that the person actually DIED (past -10) or could it be that he was just brought down to a death's door (between -10 and 0) and something kept healing him, but at the same time, something kept DOT'ing him? Is that possible to have both a damage over time (DOT) and healing over time (HOT) in effect so that the character would be literally wavering between life and death until finally one of those effects expired over the other?

Wasn't there a bug associated with warlocks shortly after the class was introduced? The instant auto-rez sure sounds familiar.

I am sure because there was a death message in the party chat everytime. I thought it was some warlock thing because I have a very little experience with them because of my break but now from the discussion it seems there is something very fishy going on. Thanks for the replies.
Nice dormammu reference =D Sounds like it.
