Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the minimal spot is needed to see the spinning blade traps in the quest titled "Bargain of Blood"? My wife and I ran it earlier today with her level 9 artificer and my level 11 ranger. My ranger's spot skill is 28 and her's is 20 and we had no warning what-so-ever of the traps that were about to slice us into tiny PC bits. Any help on this matter is appreciated. Thank you.

What difficulty were you running? - Elite the DCs are 30+

Ah ok...we were running it on Elite. We tend to try to run everything on elite. Thank you for the info.

also, you dont see traps past dc 20ish if you dont have trap finding from arti or rogue.

its possible the artis spot is too low to sense them.

Ran into those myself this life. Finally got by them with a high jump skill and playing the angles in the process.

On Hard they'd be no problem to run through but Elite has become Elite again since the Reaper pass.

The original question asked about [Spot] and Search values for 'Bargain of Blood' on Heroic Elite (Sentinels of Stormreach, Adventure pack). The last time I tested those traps on heroic Elite [2016] the 'Suspected Spot and Search' value was: DC:25.

As a general rule for heroic [F2P] quests for Elite difficulty the 'Spot and Search' DCs tend to increase by either: +2 or +3 DC per quest level. There are odd exceptions to the rule "outliers" (Dream Conspiracy comes to mind). Though that is the generic pattern they tend to follow within many heroic quests. The generic Disable DC tends to be ~ +10 higher than Search DC but Disable DCs will typically vary a lot more with quests. For example the quest; Prove your Worth (Epic Elite), comes to mind there where the Trap DCs vary significantly.
