When I try to open the ddo launcher it sends a message saying Internal Error, Please contact Customer Support.

Same for me it just started this morning. I uninstalled the game and now I cant even reinstall it I get the same error

The game is getting a patch.

Same issue today, Friday 2/10 for me. My VIP accounts are all good to login but my FTP that I use receives the same error message and the getting in line to connect message in the launcher itself.
