Stuck on loading screens again

Is it just me? It seems that this is happening a lot more often since the last patch/update. Theres really no reason to be stuck on a loading screen and have to ctrl-alt-delete to reboot the game. I have win 7 and an SSD,. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Yep Same issue, Trying to use ship to teleport to Hall of heroes 3 times and that issue happend 3 times. So i'd say 3 of 3 and fail = FIX YOUR SERVERS / Game Borked / *** / ETC.

yeah also having so many problems with loading screens, half my teleport locations wont work, some dungeons as well, couldn't reach hall of heroes from logging port nor market, only way was from ship.

This is happening a lot to me, at present I'm stuck in the bug bear inn and
after 5 separate logins I keep getting stuck at loading screen back to house p.
It would appear that this is server wide some dev response would be nice.

Same. Cannot get into the first quest of "Cult of the Six" series. Restarting the game does not help. Even trying to reset the quest fails.

Once this morning, and once now
Both times on my low level ATM tr cleric
Both times leading a pug group
Just hangs up on me
Baudrys and sewer

I don't have this prob on my 30,
Usually a good connect

Hi, i stuck alot today on wayfinder, just tried to do Jungle of Khyber, i did the pre Quest but at main Quest i stucked, i did it 2 times in a row, same result.

Pls fix it, this is a bit annoying

We did a Firepeaks Raid, we tried 2 times to get in and stucked, after the third attempt we got in, but after we was done, at leaving we got stuck again and i loged back at Life Shaper in Hall of Heroes Ebberon.

Yes, I am on Sarlona also. Just took me 4 game reloads to enter one of the epic archon quests, then when to wheloon and the same thing, multiple reboots to enter Mirror..????? Game is becoming umplayable. Cant play if you cant get int a quest.

This is normally a once in a great while kind of thing for me, but it just happened when I exited Raiding the Giants Vault on Sarlona. Any time there's an extended delay, I always watch my drive LED for signs of activity, and normally I will get the occasional flicker before it decides to move on. Not this time, though, over 4 minutes with no response before I killed the task.

The teleport sequences before all went fine until exiting that quest (Ship deck => Cargo bay => Ship deck => Market => Inspired Quarter => Isle of Dreams => Giant's Vault).

loading screen stuck going to air ship from the harbor. stuck 3 times today
going to the market from the harbor. stuck 2 times today
went to the Evening star with the key then tried to go to the airship through the cave stuck 2 times today.
tried to go to cannith crafting hall stuck 2 times today.
cleared up for a bit.
now tried to go to the sands stuck 1 time today.

I put in a ticket to point this out today 1/6/2017 and was blowin off and told by GM support they didn't have resource to check into the problem and I must contact turbine support
can you please look into this server side issue I am not contacting turbine support for loading screen issues, and well I have no idea if this so called GM told any of you about this issue.
That started when this champ week thing went live.
Please look into the loading issue when we try to travel to a new area.
I tried to keep this issue between just my self and you but if you want me to start posting in the forum about the flakey support and getting blowin off by support passing the buck we will start voting with the wallet how this new company will go going forward.
So please look into this issue before this fourm blows up with post after post of loading porting to a new area posts.

For a bug I used to encounter once a week at most, I ran into infinite load screens 10 or more times today. Going to eveningstar (twice, on differnet occasions), eveningstar challanges (sunrise ritual specifically just wouldn't let anyone in the party in), Thunder Peaks raid, one character couldn't even log on without using character realm transfer.

I ran the first minute of grim and barrett to get to the collectable bookshelf after the third mob and then would recall.
I did this maybe 15 times, then it locked on load screen, and after returning, I ran it maybe another 15 times.
It only locked on the loading screen once for me.
I didn't think anything of it at the time. It does occur infrequently, but I see a lot of people chiming in on it, and I see a lot of them are on Sarlona.

I am on Sarlona and am stuck again. Tried 6 times to restart client and still not able to leave Cannith area. This never happened to me and only started to do this just recently. It happens almost regularly now. So frustrating.

Ok, this is becoming a problem now. Cant go between two or three zones before lock up. I hope the powers that be will look into this soon or give some reimbursement on our subscription payments. Have the dev's even acknowledged the problem yet?

How it look is only a Sarlona and Wayfinder problem.

In my opinion it started with the +20 hearts of wood offering. Some ppl after stucked apear at Life Shaper in the Hall of Heroes.

I think they will fix it on monday, so enjoy a stuck weekend ;)

Best i find with this thread, not a single dev or who ever from the ddo team has responded to this issue. This is basic, make the game playable/run and players will stay..

Well to be fair DDO and loadscreens have always been a drama for me personally, just after a reinstall it is extremely noticeable without DDO preload, and with my kind of system specifications.

Sarlona: This morning (EST) had no problems with load screens. Around 1:30pm here we go again, cant get off the ship and go to the market. 3X reloads and nada. Plain and simple, this shouldn't be happening.

Was checking the forums, and in a Sarlona thread last November, this was happening as well. One of the Dev's said it had something to do with the SQL Server database. They ended up restarting the server.

I would guess merging child data to parent data that can not be done while servers are up.

What exactly does server bounce mean?

"Server bounce" is just computer operations slang for "restart the server". When the server is not working / off, it is "down". When it is working, it is "up". So "bounce" means it goes down and then comes back up. If you intentionally "bounce" a server, it means you are intentionally restarting it.

Monday is Labor day. No one will be at work (cept fire, police, some mailpeople, etc...) But def not anyone at SSG.
Sounds like a Tuesday problem. Or maybe it was a Friday problem, and just maybe it shoulda been fixed then. Kinda scary when last comms from SSG is Looking into it... and then nothing else is heard. Musta fixed it, huh?

I was stuck for a while zoning from Merida to the 12, I ended up also using task manager, end task and reoged. Yeah I was also still in merida. But things were actually ok after that (Used death express to get to ship next time).

Well, it didn't work at first, but trying on and off from 12 AM EST to 5 AM EST (interspersed with breaks) I'm in now. Totally afraid of logging off, but there you go.

I'm looking at the date of the OP of this thread: 01-06-2017 which I am guessing means: 2017-01-06

and comparing that to the earliest timestamp in the new splash/teleport screen ini file values:

2017-01-13T19:26:31Z

and I can't help but think that this change to the loading screens (to placate the people who complained about the launcher downloading them every start) is related...
