Hi,
Yesterday my Windows 10 updated itself. After the update the game client no longer works. I can sign into the launcher and pick a server, but when I tell it to start the computer closes the launcher and nothing further happens.
I've tried reinstalling to no effect, what can I do?
Happened to me after an update for win 10 a while back nothing anyone could come up with would work so I quit after 10 years when just before I had been thinking even with the changes I didn't like and I haven't like any in years that I would be here until the end.
Good luck

I had this and only just found out what was the problem for me - it was the firewall (comodo):

I had a problem where the the game would load fine up to the character selection screen, but entering a character into a world would fail. The character would load (after a long time) with a red broken network connection indicating low latency, low loss, and receiving no data. I eventually traced it to my anti-virus program (not the firewall). Now I disable the anti-virus program for 5 minutes while starting DDO and logging-in a character. After that everything works fine, including changing between characters.
It sounds like your problem is at the launcher to world transition. I have no idea if your problem could be the same or something different.
There is a support knowledge base (http://support.turbine.com/ics/support/KBList.asp?folderID=580), but it hasn't been updated for Windows 10.
If all else fails, you could try contacting customer support.
