Sorry for that extra space in title, this is actually a flavor build using a SICKLE.

Reaper of Olladra
FvS 12 / Bard 3+ / ?

So, we now have new deity feats. Champions of Olladra are extremely skilled with Sickles. The aim of this build is create a swashbuckly fvs which does not suck completely.

12 favored soul levels give us all the new feats for free. We get +6 to hit and +5 to damage with sickles. Additionally, we get a unique active ability, the Luck of Olladra, yay! Heal yourself or an ally to full health and bestow +1d6 Luck bonus to each Ability Score, lasting 24 seconds plus 6 seconds per Religious Lore feat you have. The bonus is nice, however, the cooldown of 10 minutes is not amusing at all.

3 bard levels give you swashbuckling, giving your sickle a 15-20 x 3 critical profile. Bard levels also grant Religious Lore (although at slower pace), so they increase the duration of your lucky buff.

Olladra is a valid deity only for Eberron races, so plan accordingly.

how to wrap up the reaper?
- you can take 5-6-8 levels of bard and take T5 in Swashbuckler.
- and/or you can take rogue levels and try to fit in evasion, probably going INT-based.
- or you can take some fighter for defensive stance and some kensai melee power.
- or you can wait for the eventual wisdom-to-damage universal tree and invest your AP there.

happy harvesting!

This is just off the top of my head, but: INT-based FvS 12 / bard 5 / ftr 3 in Shadowdancer for Evasion + Shadow Form. Not a max-DPS build, but highly survivable and novel, which frankly is more important to me than minmaxing. Heal spell plus Olladra sickle bonuses, buffs, etc. from FvS lvls. T5 Swashbuckler (35 APs) / T4 Warpriest (22+ APs) / T3 Stalwart D (13 APs) / T2 Harper (KtA) / human Dmg Boost. You gain 15 Religious Lore feats so Luck of Olladra lasts 114 seconds which is enough for most boss fights.

The title made me think you were posting about a build that was "sick" that could handle legendary elites lol. But still a cool build idea

Mmm, the bard favored soul. I vote for the title of said build to be something like "The Choir Boy"

This would fit nicely for this build ...

INT-based FvS 12 / bard 5 / ftr 3 in Shadowdancer
Since this thread got bumped, I figured I might as well post this build. [EDIT: tweaked build]

The above build is just about what I am looking for, but just a few questions.

If you only have 32pt available so can't have both int and con at 18, what's the best way to use the odd 4 pts? ( assuming you leave one of those two at 16 instead).

Regarding tomes, which ones are a must, and what level are they needed by?

Probably INT 18 CON 17 DEX 11 (with +2 DEX tome) which also lets you take Precision that much sooner.

Regarding tomes, which ones are a must, and what level are they needed by?
Need DEX 13 for Precision so plan your base stat + tome accordingly, as well as when you take ftr splash for Precision. Likewise epic Toughness req's base CON 21, so you will need a +4 CON tome if you start CON 17; or just skip the Toughness feats altogether and replace with whatever you want. INT tome for extra skill pts is nice but not essential; just drop the less important skills like Haggle or Diplomacy. After a certain point, I'm just spending pts for the sake of spending them. :p

So im thinking about tr'ing into a cleric version of the build, and using the kookie cutter for the main weapon up till nicer sickles.

Assuming 12 cleric/fvs for the bonus and 5 bard for t5 sb, would going bard 7 for haste/displacement be better than fighter 3 for stance and hitpoints?

Something like 12 cleric/7 bard/ 1 wizzard (for extend and cleave).

Clerics won't get the level 3 and 12 Divine feats for free like FvS, so it's a weaker choice for faith based weapons. However, you could alternatively go with a deeper splash of Fighter and Bard (e.g. 11 Clr/6 Ftr/3 Rog) enabling you to go for Light Picks or Handaxe instead. No bonuses to hit/dam, but better crit profile.

The way I see it, while it's nice to have the spells, there are other sources of Haste & Displacement: e.g., Haste potions, UMDing scrolls, even an elf variant w/Shadow DM. But there's no way of replicating the defensive benefits of Stalwart D. (i.e., +25 PRR/MRR and +20% HPs).

That said, it's a versatile build concept and cleric opens even more options than FvS if you want to go heavy into Radiant Servant. See the Radiant Marauder in my build index.

What does the changes to FvS mean for this Build?
I am lvl 13 right now following this build.
What happens if I don't use my free heart of wood and lvl up to 14? will it kill/crash my build? Rebuilding for Charisma-to-hit/dmg would mean a big handicap right now, since I am bard5/Fvs5/fighter3 and can't use the benefits right now because FvS is currently not the main class.
Or should I still go Int-based using the Harper Tree?
What should I do?

Thanx!

If you are int-based, you can safely continue.
When you take 7th fvs level, you should be able to pick up extra hp from Stout of Heart.

When you reach more fvs levels than the rest combined, you can consider the LR. This should free you some AP. Probably go with Charisma rather than Wisdom. But you can also continue with int and save the free LR.

Int based has the benefit that you can use other swashy weapons, not only sickles.

There's another FvS change previewed on Lamannia (see below). Perhaps wait with the LR until this change hits live servers.

* Changed the name of the Favored Soul "Warpriest" enhancement tree to "War Soul". (This does not affect the Cleric tree which is still called "Warpriest")
* Added a multiselector to the "Divine Might enhancement under War Soul.
** Divine Might: You gain an Insight bonus to Strength equal to your Charisma Modifier.
** Divine Presence: Adds one half of Charisma modifier to melee damage and tactical DC's.
** Divine Will: Adds one half of Wisdom modifier to melee damage and tactical DC's

If you're talking about my build, the FvS changes don't really matter. I mean you could respec into CHA- or WIS-based if you really wanted, but it offers no real upsides (since I didn't build for caster DPS / DCs) and comes with two major downsides (namely fewer skill pts and lower Reflex saves), though I guess you can drop Insightful Reflexes in that case.

The important FvS feat for my build is the lvl 7 one (I would choose Stout of Heart for extra HPs) which you haven't taken yet. Not sure what happened with the lvl 5 feat, though, so check into that.
