Just the usual Account Maintenance or for a hotfix, too? Second question: Will there be a Wednesday downtime as well or will there be only a Monday downtime next week?
To (hopefully) avoid anyone complaining about the game coming up late, I should point out that it will actually be GMT -5 as the East Coast puts the clocks back an hour on Sunday 6th. So 4am to 2pm Eastern will translate to 9am to 7pm GMT, *not* 8am to 6pm. This has been a public service announcement on behalf of the Pedantic Timekeepers of the UK.*
* We used to be the Pedantic Horologists of the UK, but then someone pointed out the unfortunate acronym.

Hopefully with such a long downtime, most of the day here in the uk, you will be fixing many of the longer term bugs, such as pets freezing if they use a ladder, or the frequent times my quickened reconstruct does not proc under attack, perhaps even getting the collectible spots working in Search and Rescue? 10 hours is a long maintenance so some details of the work due to be carried out would be nice, server upgrade perhaps or migration as it is much longer than the typical downtime just to switch off Mabar.

Whenever it is down for "maintenance" there is no game update. Since this effects LOTRO as well, more than likely it is either an update to the account system, or there is general datacenter/hardware maintenance.

Wednesday?
27th??
July???
At least the times and the years are right I guess :)
EDIT: Times are wrong fro GMT at least. With the information from an earlier poster EDT (-4 GMT) ends today I believe and Turbine are back to EST (-5 GMT). So the GMT times are from 09:00 - 19:00

Fixed the days, The Time zone converter I was using was being a pain and forgetting what I'd entered a lot...
As For Turbine leaving Daylight Time, well I based the times on Cordovan's post saying -4 GMT and assumed (incorrectly) that he would have factored in the shift if it was happening. Which is why the US Times are still all Daylight savings Times.
I hate the week between Europe and US changing to and From Daylight Savings...
Fixed GMT Times as well, hopefully it's mostly correct now... Ugh!

With the extended downtime you think there was a patch. Well, time to log in and see if they actually did any work in the last 10 hours!!!

Doesn't look like it. 10 Hours of downtime to remove Night Revels I guess. Well that and maintenance.

Hey gang!
First, thanks for a great Night Revels, though it was a shame that Hayweirds had to be down for so long.
After the downtime today, our guild ship is missing ALL of it's amenities, save for the amenity bar on the top deck.
Even the captain is missing locations for the farshifter.
Can you please look into this?
I'm an officer with Legendary Warriors of Ghallanda.
Thank you!

I think this was more an account management system downtime, or possibly full datacentre work, rather than 'game' downtime as such, that was just a side effect. I mean I think LOTRO was out too?
Haven't there been a ton of problems with people having VIP accounts downgraded and stuff recently? Maybe some of that is getting sorted.

+1 I agree great Night Revels.
Looks like no patch, mabar is gone, and as always Guild Buffs take a few hours to repopulate.
Hang tight and wait a day, if they are still gone tomorrow then start to worry.

Airship amenities are always missing for an hour or so after the worlds come back up. Nothing to worry about, they'll come back. Since it's been an hour and a half later, they are probably back up already.
