Deep Gnome starting class change...

Hi everyone. I have a question about the deep gnome and about changing its starting wizard level. So, I have a +1 lesser wood. If I use this in character creation before leveling up would I be able to change the starting wizard? I want to make a pure deep gnome arty. Any tips, advice, and maybe a build idea would be very helpful. Even a no it can't be changed would help lots. I wouldn't want to waste my wood. Pardon the pun.

The way to do it is to start as 1 wizard then levels that you want in the other class or classes I would just run to the trainers in evening star. It doesn't matter how you spend feats or ability points. After you level up go to the hall of heroes reincarnation grove and use the heart. You can only use it there. When you log back in in the reincarnation grove on level one you can choose the new class instead of wizard. All the other choices will be the same for class you made the first time as you re level. Be sure to choose a appropriate alignment for the class or classes you want to be. For example if you want your deep gnome to be a fiend pact warlock you must be neutral lawful neutral or chaotic neutral. If you want to be a paladin you must be lawful good ect.. These choices must be made on the first creation. If pure arty then no alignment restrictions come into play. Just choose to skip training with Eleminster run to the trainers level up 14 times with the artificer trainer then run to the hall of heroes in evening star and go to the grove.

If u wanna be pure arty just take 1st wizard lvl at creation, talk to elminster and refuse training, go to eveningstar trainers, get the other 14 lvls as arty, then go to hall of heroes, reincarnation groove,choose lesser reincarnation, put the heart in the slot, pass all the accept screens, log off, click reincarnate button on the right of your toon, pick arti lvl(cause you uded a +1 heart) anf thr other 14 lvls will be arti

That second time you will have to choose feats, skills, spells and lvl ups, so don't mess it this time (things like alignment, or having more than 3 classrs at same time)

IIRC iconics need to hit 15 before lr'ing
