Crafting device specifically lists Armor Piercing as an effect that can be placed as a Prefix or a Suffix on a Trinket.
But when both items (shard and trinket) are placed in the crafting device, it says no recipe found. Any one encounter this problem?

Yep, just checked the shard machine that attaches shards to items. There are two Armor Piercing recipes:
Prefix: Weapon, Shield
Suffix: Gloves, Trinket
Remember that when it comes to what shards go where, the shards themselves may have bugged info. Only the machine that actually attaches the shards to items matters.
EDIT: Erm, looking at it again, I'm now seeing something different. It appears to apply properly to either prefix or suffix on trinkets for UNBOUND crafting, but is bugged and won't go on trinket prefix for BOUND, only suffix.
EDIT 2: I honestly don't know what's going on, but as I run back and forth between machines, the prefix recipes keep changing. So it's possible you can make the bound prefix work for you, just keep opening and closing the machines.
EDIT 3: Okay, I finally figured out the problem. In the third machines, there are two "where does this go?" icons to hover over: The blue shard icon, and the white item icon. The blue one is showing the (bugged) shard info, the white is showing the (correct) item info. Armor Piercing can NOT go on a trinket prefix, regardless if bound or unbound.

Ok I was basing it off the shard icon; did not think to look at the item icon. Thanks for figuring this out.
